Abstract:
A method and apparatus to close boxes made out of aluminum foil like the
ones used in supermarkets. The boxes are made to be closed by hand,
manually crimping the open aluminum foil around the base against the edge
of the lid. The apparatus is hand held and operated by rolling it around
the edge of the open aluminum foil base. It will form the edge of the
seal against the lid, thus closing the box. The result of this invention
is an aluminum foil box sealer that safely and quickly seals the lid
against the base of the aluminum foil base.Claims:
1. An aluminum foil box sealer, comprising of a two piece housing held in
position by two bushings. One bushing functions as the bearing for the
forming wheel. The other bushing holds the entire assembly in place.
2. An aluminum foil box sealer of claim 1 further comprising a forming wheel design to crimp the aluminum foil box edge against the lid by hand rolling it over the edge of the box.
3. An aluminum foil box sealer of claim 1 further comprising of accessories mounted to the outside of the housing such as a belt clip
4. An aluminum foil box sealer of claim 1 further comprising other renditions containing a smaller forming wheel and a housing designed to hold a food thermometer, pencil or other accessories.
5. An aluminum foil box sealer, comprising of a machine designed to automatically do the manual process explained above.
Description:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to an aluminum foil box sealer for use in supermarkets, kitchens, shops, home or wherever aluminum foil boxes are found. At present time, theses boxes are closed by hand using fingers to crimp the edge over the lid. A time consuming situation and unsafe to the user fingers. The aluminum foil box sealer will efficiently and effectively seal the boxes for the user.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0002] It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide an aluminum foil box sealer composed of simple, inexpensive and light components for the users of the aluminum foil boxes. The aluminum foil box sealer provides a simple and economical way to close these boxes
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING FIGURES
[0003] FIG. 1 is a side view showing the aluminum foil box sealer in the process of crimping the edges of the aluminum foil box. The aluminum foil box is shown in a cross sectional view.
[0004] FIG. 2 is a top view of the aluminum foil box sealer
[0005] FIG. 3 is a cross section view of the aluminum foil box sealer. This rendition would be typical for home, shop or supermarket use
[0006] FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the aluminum foil box sealer
[0007] FIG. 5 is a top view showing the aluminum foil box sealer in the process of crimping the edges of the aluminum foil box.
[0008] FIG. 6 shows another rendition of the aluminum foil box sealer with a smaller forming wheel and accessories mounted to the housing like a food thermometer and a pencil. This rendition would be typical for commercial kitchen use
DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0009] Please refer to FIG. 3. The aluminum foil box sealer of the present invention includes a forming wheel 1 held in place to the housing 2 by bushings 3 and 4. A belt clip is shown fastened to one side of the housing by the 2 bushings. Bushing 3 functions as a bearing for the forming wheel. The other bushing holds the entire assembly in place.
[0010] Please refer to FIG. 1 and FIG. 5 showing the aluminum foil box sealer held by the hand of the user in the process of crimping the edge of the aluminum foil box
[0011] Please refer to FIG. 6 displaying another rendition of the aluminum foil box sealer. This rendition is designed for commercial restaurant kitchens and contains a smaller forming wheel 1 mounted in a housing 9 designed to hold a food thermometer 10 and a pencil 8
