Abstract:
My invention "Global Trak" is comprised of a GPS tracking unit, a lithium
ion battery, a microprocessor, and a plastic square protective carrier.
This invention is intended to be used for airline passengers whom want to
know where their luggage is located at all times. The unit will be linked
to a GPS unit, and a computer program which will enable passengers the
ability to "track" their luggage. The GPS unit contained in the plastic
square protective carrier will enable the unit to communicate with a
satellite and then in turn send data to a computer program. The
microprocessor contained in the unit may also contain information
specific to the passenger. The lithium ion battery will power the GPS
unit and microprocessor. The plastic protective carrier can either be
used as a "luggage type tag" or can be stored in the luggage itself.Claims:
1. A device that is GPS guided that can be attached to luggage or other
items. The said device comprising of (a) A GPS monitoring device (b) A
microprocessor (c) A battery (d) A protective device that can protect the
above mentioned parts. (e) A computer program that enables the customer
to essentially track their luggage or other items where the GPS device is
placed. The GPS locator as claimed in claim 1 (a), wherein said GPS
device includes a link to a computer based system, which enables the
device to be located at all times. The Microprocessor as claimed in claim
1 (b), wherein said microprocessor may include customer data. The Battery
as claimed in claim 1 (c), consisting of possibly a lithium ion battery
or similar, will enable the device to have an internal power source. The
Protective device as claimed in claim 1 (d), consisting essentially of a
hard plastic type square object that would essentially hold all of the
above mentioned components. A computer program as claimed in claim 1 (e)
will be essentially comprised of a computer based system which will
enable the "user" or "customer", to track their GPS device, which may be
attached to luggage or whatever device the customer chooses to attach the
"Global Trak" devise.Description:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
