FIELD OF INVENTION
[0004] The invention described herein is related to a burner for a cooking stove, and particularly a burner shaped as a concave container.
BACKGROUND
[0005] Stove top burners and hot pad burners are flat. Flat burners work well for many cooking needs however, flat burners do not work well for all uses. Flat burners heat cooking pots from the bottom up. Consequently, food at the bottom of the pot will cook first or, in the alternative, food will need to be stirred continuously to assure it cooks evenly. Additionally, some traditional cooking pots have rounded bottoms and cannot sit on flat services. For example, referring to FIGS. 1A and 1B, the traditional East African coffee pot and cooking pots have rounded bottoms.
[0006] The invention described herein is a burner shaped as a concave container; said apparatus can be used as a stove top burner, for example. The apparatus has multiple benefits. It will heat a cooking pot more evenly, allowing food to cook evenly and quickly. Because food is being cooked quicker, less energy will be needed to cook on a stove top. Consequently, the apparatus can be used as an energy savings device. Finally, cooking pots with rounded bottoms will be held in place and easily heated.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] The invention described herein is burner shaped as a concave container
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS
[0008] Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the following detailed descriptions of the preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, of which:

[0017] FIG. 8 is a top elevation view of a portable burner with the inventive apparatus.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0018] In the description of the invention above and in the detailed description of the invention, and the claims below, and in the accompanying drawings, reference is made to particular features of the invention. It is to be understood that the disclosure of the invention in this specification includes all possible combination of such particular features. For example, where a particular feature is disclosed in the context of a particular aspect or embodiment of the invention, or a particular claim, that feature can also be used, to the extent possible, combination with and/or in the context of other particular aspects and embodiments of the invention, and in the invention generally. The invention described herein is a an apparatus that can be used as a stove top burner, hot plate burner, amongst other.
[0019] Referring to FIG. 2, the apparatus (10) is comprised of a conical shaped container (20) and a means to connect the conical container to a source of energy (30). In the preferred embodiment, the means to connect the conical shaped container to a source of energy (30). is an electrical connector.
[0020] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, in the preferred embodiment, the conical shaped container (20) is made with 304 stainless steal tubing (21); said tubing (21) has a first end (22) and a second end (23). The tubing (21) is bent to form the conical shaped container (20). When the conical shaped container (20) is completely formed, the first end (22) and the second end (23) of the tubing are extended from the conical shaped container to form the basis of an electrical connector (30).
[0021] Referring to FIG. 5, in the preferred embodiment the first end (22) and the second end (23) are tipped with a ceramic insulator (30). A metal alloy, preferably incoloy, is used to form electrical containers (31).
[0022] In the preferred embodiment, the apparatus (10) is used to replace the traditional burner on a portable burner. An elevation view of a typical portable burner is shown in FIG. 6. A top elevation view of a typical of a typical portable burner is shown in FIG. 7; the flat burner top should be noted. A top elevation view of a typical portable burner with the inventive apparatus (10) is shown in FIG. 8. Referring to FIG. 4, the sides of the inventive apparatus (10) has supports (40) to center the apparatus in a typical portable burner. When used on a portable burner, the apparatus has side supports (40) that hold the apparatus in place on the portable burner. Also, for this application, the electrical connectors (31) form a loop and are the male connecters that enter the female portion of a typical portable burner.
[0023] In a preferred embodiment, the conical shaped container (20) can comprise a heat shield which surrounds the conical shaped container (20) preventing an accidental burn.
