Inventors:  Tino S. Teng (Taipei, TW)
IPC8 Class: AB65D8524FI
USPC Class: 206347
Class name: Flaccidly or integrally (but not severably) connected secured to common flaccid member held by aperture in member
Publication date: 2011-03-24
Patent application number: 20110068029

nail gun to feed nails is disclosed having a plurality of nail sockets for holding nails individually, each nail socket having a top ring, a bottom ring and a flat connection portion vertically connected between the top ring and the bottom ring, and a plurality of links respectively transversely connected between the top rings of each two adjacent nail sockets and the bottom rings of each two adjacent nail sockets.

Claims:

1. A nail-belt for use in a nail gun to feed nails, comprising:a plurality of nail sockets for holding nails individually, each said nail socket comprising a top ring, a bottom ring and a flat connection portion vertically connected between said top ring and said bottom ring, and a plurality of links respectively transversely connected between the top rings of each two adjacent ones of said nail sockets and the bottom rings of each two adjacent ones of said nail sockets, wherein said links connecting said top rings have continuously planar top surfaces level with said upper surfaces of said top rings.

2. The nail-belt of claim 1, wherein the bottom surfaces of said links connecting said top rings are entirely planar.

3. The nail-belt of claim 1, wherein the top surfaces of said links connecting said bottom rings are entirely planar.

4. The nail-belt of claim 3, wherein the bottom surfaces of said links connecting said bottom rings are entirely planar.

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001]1. Field of the Invention

[0002]The present invention relates to nail-belt for nail gun and more particularly, to such a nail-belt, which avoids biasing of the nail that is been driven into the workpiece.

[0003]2. Description of the Related Art

[0004]A conventional nail-belt 1 for use in a nail gun to feed nails 2, as shown in FIG. 1, generally comprises a plurality of nail sockets 3 for holding nails 2 individually, and a link 4 transversely connected between each two adjacent nail sockets 3 on the middle. Because only one thin link 4 is connected between each two adjacent sockets 3, the nail 2 may be biased with the respective nail socket 3 when it is being driven into the workpiece.

[0005]Therefore, it is desirable to provide a nail-belt that eliminates the aforesaid problem.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006]The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is therefore the main object of the present to provide a nail-belt, which facilitates nailing operation, avoiding biasing of the nail being nailed into the workpiece.

[0007]To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, a nail-belt for use in a nail gun to feed nails comprises a plurality of nail sockets for holding nails individually and links joining the nail sockets. Each nail socket comprises a top ring, a bottom ring and a flat connection portion vertically connected between the top ring and the bottom ring. The links are respectively transversely connected between the top rings of each two adjacent nail sockets and the bottom rings of each two adjacent nail sockets.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0008]FIG. 1 is a schematic side plain view of a nail-belt according to the prior art.

[0009]FIG. 2 is an oblique elevation of a nail-belt in accordance with the present invention.

[0010]FIG. 3 is a schematic side plain view of the nail-belt in accordance with the present invention.

[0011]FIG. 4 is an applied view of the present invention, showing nails respectively loaded in the nail sockets of the nail-belt.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0012]Referring to FIGS. 2˜4, a nail-belt 1 for use in a nail gun to feed nails in accordance with the present invention is shown comprises a plurality of nail sockets 3 for holding nails 2 individually, and a plurality of links 4 respectively formed integral with and connected between each two adjacent nail sockets 3 to hold the nail sockets 3 in a parallel manner.

[0013]Each nail socket 3 comprises a top ring 31, a bottom ring 32 and a flat connection portion 30 vertically connected between the top ring 31 and the bottom ring 32. The links 4 are respectively transversely connected between the top rings 31 of each two adjacent nail sockets 3 and the bottom rings 32 of each two adjacent nail sockets 3.

[0014]When in use, nails 2 are respectively inserted through the top ring 31 and bottom ring 32 of each of the nail sockets 3 of the nail-belt 1, and then the nail-belt 1 is loaded in the nail magazine of a nail gun (not shown). Because the size of the nail-belt 1 is same as an equivalent conventional design, the nail-belt 1 can be used in a conventional nail gun directly. Further, because two links 4 are connected between each two adjacent nail sockets 3 at different elevations, the top ring 31 and bottom ring 32 of each nail socket 3 will not be biased during a nail-driving operation so that the nail 2 can be driven out of the respective nail socket 3 into the workpiece accurately

[0015]Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
