BACKGROUND
[0001]This invention relates generally to archery. In that being a device for supporting bow and arrows during "idle time" of hunting, archery practice and competition.
[0002]Generally the hunter and/or competitor has quite a bit of time while waiting on game or in between targets and other competitors. This device has been designed and constructed with them in mind.
[0003]This device is light weight and easily carried. This device is vertical with a 90 degree 4 inch rubber coated handle. It has a 33 inch by 3/8 inch steel main shaft, with attached bow cradle and arrow holder. With two 4 inch spikes at the bottom designed for ground penetrating. This device weighs approximately 2 pounds. This device is designed so that the hunter and/or competitor will not need to stoop or bend to retrieve equipment. As well as allowing the hunter and/or competitor to carrying without overly tiring or straining.
[0004]Using the ground penetrating spikes this device is designed for easy set-up and removal. Allowing the hunter and/or competitor to move quickly onto the next stand or target.
[0005]With this device allowing easy access to both the bow and the arrows. Being that a hunter or competitor needs to be able to have no hindrances for swift movement whether it be for hunting or competing. This device is designed so that your expensive and fragile equipment is protected from ground debris. The bow cradle is attached and adjustable, with the 3 inch by 3 inch bow cradle being rubber coated so that the bow itself does not get scratched or harmed. The attached arrow cylinder is a 24 inch 11/4 inch pipe that has a bottom cap that can be removed allowing the hunter and/or competitor to cut down to size for arrow length.
[0006]This device can also be constructed in a manner that allows either left or right handed hunters and/or competitors to use the device.
[0007]Various bow holders have been developed, but not with the easy access and convenience of this device. The other bow holders are not as convenient due to their structure. Most bow holders or bow rest do not offer the capability of holding arrows and a bow on a free standing frame. Nor do they offer the ability to be placed on level or uneven ground.
[0008]Most have tripod stands that are designed for concrete like floors and will not set on uneven ground. These bow holders are tipped easily. The "Lazy Man's Stand" is above all better than the previous inventions of the same category because of it's stance and durability. The "Lazy Man's Stand" is different by having an attached cylinder for arrows, a rubber coated handle, an attached and adjustable bow cradle. As well as having ground penetrating spikes to allow easy set-up on level or uneven ground.
[0009]Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to allow easy access for the hunter and/or competitor, while allowing the hunter and/or competitors expensive and fragile equipment to be placed where it is unlikely that it will be scratched or harmed and accessed in a fashion that allows the hunter and/or competitor to do so without any hindrances.
[0010]Furthermore, it is the object of this present invention to be easily carried by the hunter and/or competitor without strain or overly tiring the hunter and/or competitor.
[0011]Also, it is the object of the present invention to be easily set-up and removed by the hunter and/or competitor for swift movement onto the next stand or target.
[0012]As well as, allowing all hunters and/or competitors the option of using this device, providing that it can be constructed for either left or right handed hunters and/or competitors.
[0013]Finally, this device was designed so that the combination of the above description makes archery more enjoyable for the hunter and/or competitor.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0014]The above objectives are accomplished according to the present invention by providing an adjustable bow rest and an arrow holder in an upright position that is attached to a steel main shaft that has been constructed to penetrate the ground. As well as being designed for the convenience of either the left or right handed hunter and/or competitor, allowing that it can be constructed for either one. The bow rest and arrow holder are designed so that it is attached yet adjustable to each individual's needs, having 33 inch by 3/8 inch steel main shaft with a 90 degree 4 inch rubber coated handle, making it sturdy yet light weight, weighing approximately 2 pounds, the 4 inch ground penetrating spikes allowing for easy set-up and removal on level or uneven ground, the attached and adjustable 3 inch by 3 inch rubber coated bow cradle, and the attached and adjustable 11/4 inch arrow cylinder pipe, allowing protection from scratches and harm to expensive and fragile equipment.
[0015]The hunter and/or competitor and even the backyard beginner will enjoy such a convenient and easily handled piece of equipment.
