Abstract

le, cylindrical roll-on bottle adapted to allow the consumer to purchase larger volumes of their favorite consumer products. The roll-on bottle includes a threaded/screw cap (located at the top of the bottle) to protect the roll-on ball and a threaded/screw cap (for the bottom of the bottle) to re-fill the product into the bottle with ease. In addition, we also created a bottom filled, refillable, cylindrical, roll-on bottle which will have an angle (at the top of the bottle) and the bottom, refillable cap will allow for a handle to be added thus making it easier for someone with limited mobility.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0004]The U.S. Patent Classification Definition of our invention is Class 215 Bottles and Jars.

[0005]Current roll-on bottles are as follows: they are not refillable, the roll-on bottled products are limited to specific products and they do not have a handle for those consumers who have limited mobility and reach.

[0006]Our roll-on bottle was invented to assist consumers with a refillable bottle so they could purchase products in bulk quantities, saving them money and travel time to purchase the product. Additionally, our roll-on bottle with handle, will assist the medically handicapped and other consumers to apply products to hard-to-reach areas of the body.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007]We named our product "Bottoms Up". It is a plastic, cylindrical, roll-on bottle which is refillable from the bottom and can be used for many different products. This roll-on bottle comes in several different sizes. One of the designs has a 90 degree right angle and a removable long handle so it can be used with or without the handle for easy application to all areas of the body.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION ON THE INVENTION

[0017]"Bottoms Up" is a plastic, cylindrical, refillable, roll-on bottle. The bottle will have a screw (threaded) cap on each end of the bottle: One cap will go over the roll-on ball and the other cap will be at the bottom of the bottle for refilling.

[0018]This product starts as an empty, cylindrical, refillable, plastic bottle measuring anywhere from 3'' to 8'' in length which can be filled with products such as: creams, lotions, oils, perfumes, suntan and medicinal products, etc. . . .

[0019]To accommodate consumers with limited movement and flexibility, we have also designed a bottle with a 90 degree angle bend (angle is approximately 1''-2'' length at the top of the bottle) with a roll-on ball and threaded cap at the end of the angle. This bottle can be assembled with or without a handle. The handle can be added to the bottle by removing the bottom cap and slipping over the threaded grooves and then replacing the threaded cap back on. (Handle will have grooves that would lock it into place so as not to swing during use.) This will allow consumers with limited mobility, the capability of rolling on the product on their back, lower legs, feet and other hard-to-reach areas of the body. Both the top and bottom threaded caps are similar in size but will be different in color (or design) to be able to distinguish top from bottom.

[0020]Instructions how to use: Unscrew bottom cap of bottle, pour the product into the cylindrical bottle and re-screw the bottom cap. (For the design with handle, you would unscrew the bottom cap, slip the handle over the threaded grooves, pour the product into the bottle and then re-screw the bottom cap.) Then roll the product onto your skin.

Claims

1. There are refillable bottles that unscrew at the top and non-refillable, roll-on bottles (which once the item is depleted then the bottle is thrown out), but our invention is a bottom filled, cylindrical, refillable, roll-on bottle.

2. We claim (in addition to the above), a bottom filled, cylindrical, refillable, roll-on bottle with an angled head (at the top) and an option for a handle (which could be affixed to the bottom, refillable portion of the bottle) for those consumers with limited mobility.
