Description:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001]The present invention relates to a sock with a cushion pad connected to outside of the heel portion.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002]A prior art known to applicant includes a cushion pad received within a pouch of a sock or cloth, wherein the cushion pad is soft and flexible so that when the wearer is applied a pressure at the position where the cushion pad is located, the cushion pad absorbs the force by deforming itself so as to reduce possible injury to the wearer.

[0003]The sock or cloth has to attach an outer part which is fixed to the sock or cloth along a periphery of the outer part. The conventional way usually is to sew the outer part to the sock or cloth so as to define a pouch between the outer part and the sock or cloth, and the cushion pad is received in the pouch. The cushion pad can be fixed with the outer part or just received in the pouch. When sewing the outer part and the cushion pad, the cushion pad might be damaged by the sewing needle and the air or liquid in the cushion pad leaks. If the cushion pad is simply received in the pouch, the cushion pad may shift and affects the wearer's balance.

[0004]Besides, the fabrication cost increases to prepare and attaching the outer part to the sock or cloth. The sewing process requires extra working place and sewing technicians.

[0005]The present invention intends to provide a sock with a cushion pad which is directly connected to outside of the sock by way of heat pressing or adhering.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006]The present invention relates to a sock that has a cushion pad connected to an outside of the sock and the cushion pad includes at least one chamber which has pressurized air filled therein.

[0007]The cushion pad is exposed and attached to the sock by way of heat pressing or adhering.

[0008]The number of the chamber of the cushion pad can be multiple and the chambers can be in communication with each other or partially in communication with each other.

[0009]The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010]FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the sock and the cushion pad of the present invention;

[0011]FIG. 2 is a perspective view to show the sock with the cushion pad connected thereto, and

[0012]FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view to show the sock of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0013]Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the sock 10 of the present invention comprises a cushion pad 20 connected to an outside of the sock 10. The sock 10 can be a flexible knitting sock.

[0014]The cushion pad 20 is made by flexible material and fits the shape and curvature of wearer's foot. The cushion pad 20 includes at least one chamber 21, in this embodiment, the number of the chamber 21 is multiple. Each chamber 21 has pressurized air filled therein. The chambers 21 are separated from each other and in communication with each other, or partially in communication with each other.

[0015]The cushion pad 20 is directly attached to the outside of the sock 10 by way of heat pressing or adhering. The multiple chambers 21 are deformable when the wearer walks so as to absorb shock or pressure and protect the wearer's ankle.

[0016]The chambers 21 are arranged to include grooves located therebetween and the grooves provide better friction to prevent from slipping.

[0017]The cushion pad 20 is directly connected to the sock 10 and the method for connecting the cushion pad 20 to the sock 10 can be any known method. The cushion pad 20 can be connected to the heel portion or even the whole underside of the sock 10 when needed.

[0018]While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
