Abstract:
A display rack includes a plurality of boards and each board includes a
plurality of holes defined in a top surface and a bottom surface thereof.
A plurality of connection members each have two ends which are inserted
into the holes in the bottom surface of one board and the holes in the
top surface of another board so as to connect the boards in the
longitudinal direction. The connection member may include two parallel
tubular bodies so as to connect the boards in the transversal direction.Claims:
1. A display rack, comprising:a plurality of boards and each board having
a plurality of holes defined in a top surface and a bottom surface
thereof,a plurality of connection members and each connection member
having two ends which are inserted into the holes in the bottom surface
of the boards and the holes in the top surface of the boards to connect
the boards in a longitudinal direction.
2. The display rack as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the boards includes elongate grooves defined in the top surface and the bottom surface thereof.
3. The display rack as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the boards includes elongate slots defined through the top surface and the bottom surface thereof.
4. The display rack as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the connection members includes two flanges extending radially outward from an outer surface thereof, the two flanges are located at a distance from two ends of the connection members, and an outer diameter of each flange is larger than an outer diameter of the connection members.
5. The display rack as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the connection members includes two tubular bodies which are located in parallel to each other, and at least one bridge member is connected between the two tubular bodies.
Description:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001]1. Field of the Invention
[0002]The present invention relates generally to a display rack which includes a plurality of boards and a plurality of connection members which connect the boards in both longitudinal and transversal directions.
[0003]2. The Prior Arts
[0004]A conventional display rack generally is made by wood, metal or plastic. The wood requires a lot of trees, which is considered as not friendly to environmental protection, and the metal is too heavy. Plastic is an ideal material for making the display rack but it is not convenient to be assembled and cannot bear heavy loads.
[0005]The present invention provides a display rack composed of boards and connection members, and the two ends of the connection members are inserted into holes in the boards, such that the boards can be connected to each other in both longitudinal and transversal directions.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006]A primary objective of the present invention is to provide a display rack, which includes boards with high structural strength and load-bearing capacity.
[0007]Another objective of the present invention is to provide a display rack, which is easily assembled and is able to vary its size by connecting more boards.
[0008]According to the present invention, a display rack comprises a plurality of boards and each board has a plurality of holes defined in a top surface and a bottom surface thereof. A plurality of connection members each have two ends which are inserted into the holes in the bottom surface and the top surface of the boards so as to connect the boards in the longitudinal direction. The connection members may include two tubular bodies such that the boards can be connected in the transversal direction.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0009]The present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art by reading the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment thereof, with reference to the attached drawings, in which:
[0010]FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a display rack in accordance with the present invention;
[0011]FIG. 2 is an exploded view showing boards and connection members in accordance with the present invention;
[0012]FIG. 3 is an exploded view showing that the display rack is composed of two different shapes of boards and two different types of connection members;
[0013]FIG. 4 is a top view of the board of the display rack in accordance with the present invention, and
[0014]FIG. 5 shows another type of the connection member of the display rack in accordance with the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0015]With reference to FIGS. 1 to 5, a display rack in accordance with the present invention comprises a plurality of boards 1 and each board 1 includes four holes 11 defined in four corners of a top surface and a bottom surface thereof. Elongate grooves 12 are defined in the top and bottom surfaces of each board 1 so as to form reinforcement ribs which reinforce the structural strength of the board 1. Each board 1 may further have elongate slots 13 defined through the top and bottom surfaces thereof so as to reduce the weight and the material for each board 1.
[0016]A plurality of connection members 2 and 2A are used to connect the boards 1. The connection members 2 each have two ends which are inserted into the holes 11 in the bottom surface of the boards 1 and the holes 11 in the top surface of the boards 1 to connect the boards 1 in the longitudinal direction. Each of the connection members 2 includes two flanges 21 and 22 extending radially outward from an outer surface thereof. The two flanges 21 and 22 are located at a distance from two ends of the connection member 2. An outer diameter of each flange 21 and 22 is larger than an outer diameter of the connection members 2. The flanges 21 and 22 are in contact with the top surface and the bottom surface of the boards 1.
[0017]Each of the connection members 2A includes two tubular bodies which are located in parallel to each other; three bridge members 23 are connected between the two tubular bodies. Each tubular body has two flanges 21 and 22 extending radially outward from an outer surface thereof. The two flanges 21 and 22 are located at a distance from two ends of each of the tubular bodies. An outer diameter of each flange 21 and 22 is larger than an outer diameter of each of the tubular bodies.
[0018]One of the two tubular bodies of the connection members 2A is used to connect a set of boards 1 in the longitudinal direction, and the other one of the two tubular bodies of the connection members 2A is used to connect another set of boards in the longitudinal direction by inserting the two ends of the connection members 2A in the holes 11 of the boards 1. The size of the display rack can be further expanded by using the connection members 2 and 2A to connect the more boards 1.
[0019]Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiment thereof, it is apparent to those skilled in the art that a variety of modifications and changes may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention which is intended to be defined by the appended claims.
