GENERAL BACKGROUND

[0001]1. Field of the Invention

[0002]The present invention generally relates to a container and to a business method for selling liquid and more particularly to a business method for selling water by the use of horoscope and astrological information and to a new and novel container which is employed within and/or as part of this method.

[0003]2. Background of the Invention

[0004]The sales of bottled water (and other liquids, such as energy drinks) have proliferated in recent years due to the public concern regarding the purity of tap water, the concomitant health risks associated with the ingestion of such tap water, and the desire for new types of beverages, such as energy drinks.

[0005]Due to the this relatively beverage large market, there now exist a large number of producers and suppliers of purified bottled water and other types of liquids and it is now much more difficult for a water or other type of liquid/beverage a producer or supplier to gain or increase market share, and new marketing approaches must now be adopted to allow suppliers and producers to gain or increase their overall market share and to "get noticed" by consumers.

[0006]There is therefore a need for a new and improved method for selling or providing water (as well as other liquids or beverages) and for a new and improved liquid or beverage container which may be used as part of such a new and novel business method.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007]It is a first non-limiting object of the present invention to provide a new and improved method for selling liquid, such as water or other types of dissimilar beverages.

[0008]It is a second non-limiting object of the present invention to provide a novel container which may be utilized within a new and improved method for selling liquid, such as water, or other types of dissimilar beverages.

[0009]According to a first non-limiting aspect of the present invention, a hollow container is provided which includes an outer surface which includes a plurality of unique horoscope readings.

[0010]According to a second non-limiting aspect of the present invention, a method for selling a liquid is provided and includes the steps of acquiring a hollow bottle; placing at least on horoscope reading upon the bottle; placing liquid within the bottle; and selling the bottle.

[0011]According to a third non-limiting aspect of the present invention, a method for selling a liquid is provided and includes the steps of acquiring a first hollow bottle; selecting a week; placing liquid into the first hollow bottle; creating at least a first horoscope reading by use of the selected first week; placing the created horoscope reading upon the first hollow bottle; selling the first hollow bottle containing liquid; selecting a second week; creating at least a second horoscope by use of the selected second week; placing the selected at least second horoscope reading upon the second hollow bottle; and selling the second hollow bottle containing the liquid.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0016]Referring now to FIGS. 1-2, there is shown a bottle 10 which is made in accordance with the teachings of the preferred embodiment of the invention.

[0017]Particularly, the bottle 10 is generally hollow and includes an internal cavity 12 which may be selectively filled with fluid, such as fluid 14, which in one non-limiting embodiment comprises water, or another type of beverage. It should be appreciated that other types of dissimilar fluids may also and alternatively be selectively placed within the cavity 12.

[0018]The bottle 10 includes a removable top portion 16 which, once removed from the body 18 allows access to the cavity 12 and to the contained fluid 14. It should be appreciated that nothing in this description is meant to limit the applicability of the foregoing invention to a particular type of bottle and that bottle 10 is shown for illustrative purposes only. It should further be appreciated that various types of conventional removable top portions 16 may be utilized and, in one non-limiting embodiment, body 18 includes an opening 19 into which the removable top portion 16 is selectively and removably received. When top portion 16, when placed within the opening 19, closes the cavity 12 from the ambient environment and when removed from the opening 19 allows access to the cavity 12. Portion 16 may simply and frictionally and removably receive portion 28 and portion 16 may have substantially similar threads as threads 30 (not shown) to frictionally receive threads 30 of bottle 10.

[0019]In the most preferred embodiment of the invention, the body 18 includes an outer surface 20 upon which at least one horoscope reading, such as reading 22 is located. In one non-limiting embodiment of the invention, the surface 20 includes twelve unique horoscope readings, each corresponding to a unique sign of the zodiac. In the most preferred, although non-limiting embodiment of the invention, each of the horoscope readings is pertinent for a particular specified week. Such readings may be obtained, by way of example and without limitation, from sources such as www.astrology.com and www.powerfortunes.com or from substantially any other desired source and, instead of a particular week, such horoscope information may be based either upon a selected day of the year or a selected month of the year. The placement of the readings 22 upon the surface 20 of the bottle 10 will generate more interest for the bottled fluid and increase market share and it should be appreciated that readings 22 may be placed at substantially any desired portion of the surface 20.

[0020]Further, outer surface 20 includes, in the most preferred embodiment, an "astrological wheel" 24 (i.e., a circle which represents the twelve unique signs of the zodiac), and an identifying name 26 (i.e., text depicting the brand name of the bottle 10 containing the bottled fluid 14). The placement of the wheel 24 upon the surface 20 of the bottle 10 will create a more pleasing and aesthetic appearance and will generate more interest in acquiring the bottle 10, while the placement of the identifying name 26 upon surface 20 of the bottle 20 will provide users a name to identify the aesthetically pleasing bottle thereby generating increased market share.

[0021]Referring now to FIG. 3, there is shown a methodology 40 of the preferred embodiment of the invention, Particularly, the methodology 40 includes a first step 42 in which it is desired to begin the methodology of the preferred, although non-limiting, embodiment of the invention.

[0022]Step 42 is followed by step 44 in which a particular week of the year is specified. Step 46 follows step 44 and, in this step 46, horoscope readings for the week specified in step 44 are selected. Such selection may be made by acquiring the relevant horoscope information from a commercially available source. Step 46 is followed by step 48 in which the bottle 10 is selected/purchased and/or created. Step 50 follows step 48 and, in this step 50, the selected horoscope readings are placed upon the surface 20 of the bottle 10. Step 52 follows step 50 and, in this step 52, the liquid 14 is placed within the bottle 10.

[0023]Step 54 follows step 52 and, in this step 54, it is determined whether more such bottles which bear the horoscope information and fluid are required. If more bottles are not required, than step 54 is followed by step 56 which represents the end of the methodology 40. Alternatively, step 54 is followed by step 48. In this manner, the contained fluid 14 (e.g., beverage) is sold or promoted for sale by the use of horoscope information 22, thereby "branding or distinguishing", in the market, the contained fluid 14. Further, one, two, three, or any number of horoscope readings, each respectively corresponding to a unique zodiac sign, may be utilized upon the surface 20.

[0024]It is to be understood that the inventions are not limited to the exact construction and methodology which is described above, but that various changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and the scope of the inventions as are delineated in the following claims.

Claims

1) A hollow container having an outer surface which includes a plurality of unique horoscope readings.

2) The hollow container of claim 1 wherein said hollow container comprises a water bottle.

3) The hollow container of claim 1 wherein said plurality of unique horoscope readings comprises twelve unique readings.

4) A method of selling a liquid comprising the steps of acquiring a hollow bottle; placing said liquid within said bottle; placing at least one horoscope reading upon said bottle; and selling said bottle.

5) The method of claim 4 wherein said liquid comprises water.

6) The method of claim 4 wherein said at least one horoscope reading comprises twelve unique readings.

7) A method of selling a liquid comprising the steps of acquiring a first hollow bottle; selecting a first week; placing said liquid into said first hollow bottle; creating at least a first horoscope reading by use of said selected first week; placing said selected at least first horoscope reading upon said first hollow bottle selling said first hollow bottle containing said liquid; selecting a second week; creating at least a second horoscope reading by use of said selected second week; placing said selected at least second horoscope reading upon said second hollow bottle; and selling said second hollow bottle containing said liquid.

8) The method of claim 6 wherein said liquid comprises water.
