Description:

BACKGROUND

[0001]1. Technical Field

[0002]The present invention relates generally to a ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assembly, and more particularly, to a closely packed ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assembly.

[0003]2. Description of the Related Art

[0004]Conventionally, a ventilating exhaust fan and an outlet fitting are joined with each other by simply inserting latch tenons formed on one of them into fixing holes defined on the other one, and thereby a ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assembly is obtained. However, there usually exists a gap between the ventilating exhaust fan and a mounting surface of the outlet fitting. When the ventilating exhaust fan is in operation, a vibration produced from the rotation of a driving motor thereof would be transferred to the outlet fitting and a housing of the ventilating exhaust fan whereby unwanted vibration and noise are raised due to the exist of the gap. The unwanted vibration issue would affect the normal operation of the ventilating exhaust fan and even shorten the life thereof.

BRIEF SUMMARY

[0005]The present invention is to provide a closely packed ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assembly. The ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assembly could effectively overcome the conventional issues of vibration and noise due to the elimination of an unwanted gap between an outlet fitting and a housing of a ventilating exhaust fan thereof.

[0006]A ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assembly, in accordance with a preferred embodiment, is provided. The ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assembly generally includes a ventilating exhaust fan and an outlet fitting. A packing protrusion is interposed between a housing of the ventilating exhaust fan and a mounting surface of the outlet fitting, so as to eliminate an unwanted gap existed between the housing and the mounting surface.

[0007]Compared with conventional ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assemblies, because the unwanted gap between the housing of the ventilating exhaust fan and the mounting surface of the outlet fitting is effectively eliminated by the use of the packing protrusion interposed therebetween, and thus the conventional issues of vibration and noise are overcome.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0020]The present invention incorporates a packing protrusion between a housing of a ventilating exhaust fan and a mounting surface of an outlet fitting, and utilizes the packing protrusion to fill and pack a gap existed between the housing and the mounting surface so that ventilating exhaust fan and the outlet fitting would be tightly joined with each other.

[0021]Referring to FIGS. 1 through 11, ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assemblies, in accordance with preferred embodiments, are provided. The ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assemblies each generally includes a ventilating exhaust fan 11, an outlet fitting 12, and plural packing protrusions 13.

[0022]Referring to FIG. 6, the ventilating exhaust fan 11 includes a fan unit 111, a driving motor (not shown) configured (i.e., structured and arranged) for driving the fan unit 111, and a housing 113 enclosing the fan unit 111 and the driving motor. The fan unit 111 has a fluid outlet 114 and a fluid inlet 115. The housing 113 defines an opening 116 and two fixing openings 117 thereon. The opening 116 is located at a position facing toward the fluid outlet 114 of the fan unit 111. The two fixing openings 117 are located adjacent to and generally communicated with the opening 116.

[0023]The outlet fitting 12 substantially is a hollow structure, e.g., a hollow cylindrical structure. The outlet fitting 12 has an inlet 121 and an outlet 122. A mounting surface 123 is formed at the inlet 121. Plural latch tenons 124 are formed on the mounting surface 123 and corresponded to the two fixing openings 117.

[0024]The packing protrusions 13 are interposed between the housing 113 and the mounting surface 123 of the outlet fitting 12. In particular, the packing protrusions 13 could be formed on the mounting surface 123 of the outlet fitting 12, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 9. Alternatively, the packing protrusions 13 also could be formed on the housing 113 at a suitable location, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 7.

[0025]Referring to FIGS. 1 through 4, in one example, the packing protrusions 13 substantially are strip-shaped protrusions. In another example, as illustrated in FIGS. 7 through 10, the packing protrusions 13 substantially are pillar-shaped protrusions. Preferably, as shown in FIGS. 7 through 11, the outlet fitting 12 further includes a flange 125 formed at a side of the mounting surface 123. By way of engaging the flange 125 with an edge of the housing 113, the housing 113 and the outlet fitting 12 would be joined with each other more firmly and tightly.

[0026]Referring to FIGS. 5, 6 and 11, which are schematic, assembled views of ventilating exhaust fan and outlet fitting assemblies, in accordance with various preferred embodiments. The outlet fitting 12 is joined with the housing 113 by the latch tenons 124 inserted and latched into the fixing openings 117 and is packed on the housing 113 with the packing protrusions 13. Therefore, the outlet fitting 12 and the housing 113 are firmly and tightly joined with each other and thus the conventional vibration and noise issues due to the exist of an unwanted gap would be effectively overcome as a result.

[0027]The above description is given by way of example, and not limitation. Given the above disclosure, one skilled in the art could devise variations that are within the scope and spirit of the invention disclosed herein, including configurations ways of the recessed portions and materials and/or designs of the attaching structures. Further, the various features of the embodiments disclosed herein can be used alone, or in varying combinations with each other and are not intended to be limited to the specific combination described herein. Thus, the scope of the claims is not to be limited by the illustrated embodiments.
