ates to a bottle with a peripheral chamber. The bottle comprises a bottle body, a wall of the bottle body curving inwards thus creating a chamber therein, and a cover of the chamber. The cover can be opened or closed by using a concave depression on the bottle body. The bottle further comprises a container of the chamber so that the chamber can hold a second object in addition to a first object in the bottle body. The bottle is capable of carrying different objects simultaneously. Since the chamber is formed directly from the bottle body, the present invention is simple in structure, easy to manufacture, and low in cost.

Claims:

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001]This application claims foreign priority under 35 U.S.C. ยง 119 to Chinese Patent Application no. 200720120341.8, filed May 28, 2007, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002]1. Field of the Invention

[0003]The present invention relates to a bottle and, more particularly, to a bottle with a peripheral chamber.

[0004]2. Related Art

[0005]Existing bottles are designed with only one chamber, thus contain only one kind of substance. In order to carry two or more different substances separately, there needs to be two or more bottles. Such substances, which easily produce a reaction when mingled or easily dissolves in one or the other, require that they remain separated until necessary for their combination. However, requiring two or more bottles is not only costly and but also inconvenient.

[0006]For example, in order to produce a kit containing different substances to be mixed, manufacturers would have to produce each bottle holding the respective substance. Furthermore, the respective specification or label regarding each substance has to be attached to each bottle. This is not only inconvenient but also cumbersome--especially, if the substance changes or the label needs to be changed.

[0007]Thus, a need exists for a bottle capable of containing different substances simultaneously.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008]The present invention is directed to a bottle capable of containing different substances simultaneously. An object of the present invention is to provide a bottle with a peripheral chamber that enables a user to carry different substances in one bottle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is a bottle with a peripheral chamber comprising a bottle body; a wall of the bottle body curving inwards, thereby creating the chamber therein; and a cover attached to one or more edges of the chamber for covering the chamber. The inward curve of the wall of the bottle body can be concave or at any other angle, creating said chamber.

[0009]According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cover is transparent. The cover is curved to fit the angle of the bottle body. The cover is attached to the bottle body on a movable pivot for opening and closing the cover on the chamber. Alternatively the cover may be attached to the bottle body by latches such that the cover may be locked into place in a closed position or completed removed from the bottle body in an open position. Furthermore, the wall of the bottle body comprises a concave indentation or depression near an edge of the chamber where the cover and wall meet, the depression shaped to accommodate the tip of a human finger, such that the cover may be opened.

[0010]According to another embodiment of the present invention, there is a bottle body comprising a wall concaving inwards to create a chamber within the bottle body; an independent container with a lid, shaped and sized to fit into the chamber, such that the container is encased inside the chamber.

[0011]An embodiment of the present invention includes a movable pivot connecting the container to a flange of the container lid, and the lid and container are combined so that they are formed as a unit at a fold line where the lid and container connect. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the chamber is formed inside the inner wall of the bottle body.

[0012]According to embodiments of the present invention, any viable material, like metal or plastic may be used to manufacture the present invention. Embodiments of the present invention include not only a covered chamber within a bottle body, but also an independent container with a lid shaped to fit the chamber so as to allow a user to conveniently carry different substances at one time. The present invention is simple in structure, easy to manufacture, and low in cost.

[0013]These and other embodiments of the present invention are further made apparent, in the remainder of the present document, to those of ordinary skill in the art.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0014]In order to more fully describe embodiments of the present invention, reference is made to the accompanying drawings. These drawings are not to be considered limitations in the scope of the invention, but are merely illustrative.

[0015]FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a bottle with a peripheral chamber according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0016]FIG. 2 is a schematic view of a bottle with a peripheral chamber according to another embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC EMBODIMENTS

[0017]The description above and below and the drawings of the present document focus on one or more currently preferred embodiments of the present invention and also describe some exemplary optional features and/or alternative embodiments. The description and drawings are for the purpose of illustration and not limitation. Those of ordinary skill in the art would recognize variations, modifications, and alternatives. Such variations, modifications, and alternatives are also within the scope of the present invention.

[0018]As shown in FIG. 1, an embodiment of the present invention comprises a bottle body 1; a chamber 2 created by a wall of the bottle body 1 curving inwards; and a cover 3 for covering an opening of the chamber 2. FIG. 1 shows a cutaway of the cover 3 to reveal the chamber 2. In an embodiment of the present invention, the bottle body 1 further includes a concave depression 6 shaped to accommodate the tip of a human finger for easy opening of the cover.

[0019]According to an embodiment of the present invention, a label or a picture that illustrates each substance being carried in the bottle chamber 2 is attached on the outside of the chamber 2 or somewhere inside the chamber 2. The cover 3 covering the chamber 2 may be transparent to allow for easy viewing. The cover 3 is curved to fit the angle of the bottle body 1. The cover 3 is attached to the bottle body 1 on a movable pivot that allows the cover 3 to open and close as needed. In another embodiment, the cover 3 is joggled or otherwise fastened to the bottle body 1 and to the chamber 2. The cover 3 can therefore be completely removed from the bottle body 1.

[0020]In an embodiment of the present invention, the cover 3 is located outside of the chamber 2 and the bottle body 1 includes two symmetrical concave areas 6 at a junction of the cover and the edge of the chamber, which a human finger fits for easier opening of the cover 3. The cover 3 is further joggled with the bottle body 1.

[0021]FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the present invention comprising a bottle body 1, a chamber 2 created by a wall of the bottle body 1 curving inwards, and a container 5 with a lid 4 which is attached to the chamber 2. The shape and size of container 5 with lid 4 fits inside the chamber 2.

[0022]In an embodiment of the present invention, the container 5 may be made out of a material different from a material used for the bottle body 1 so that the container 5 is capable of carrying a substance that the bottle body 1 cannot carry. The lid 4 and the container 5 are combined so as to form a fold line where the lid 4 and the container 5 connect for easy opening of the lid 4 and easy manufacturing with low cost.

[0023]According to embodiments of the present invention, any viable material, like metal or plastic may be used to manufacture the components of the present invention. The components including the bottle body 1, chamber 2, cover 3, lid 4, and container 5 may all be shaped to different configurations and sizes. The present invention is simple in structure, easy to manufacture, and low in cost.

[0024]Throughout the description and drawings, example embodiments are given with reference to specific configurations. It will be appreciated by those of ordinary skill in the art that the present invention can be embodied in other specific forms. Those of ordinary skill in the art would be able to practice such other embodiments without undue experimentation. For example, all parts shown in the Figures may have different shapes and sizes from what is shown in the Figures and each part may be made of different materials. The scope of the present invention, for the purpose of the present patent document, is not limited merely to the specific example embodiments of the foregoing description, but rather is indicated by the appended claims. All changes that come within the meaning and range of equivalents within the claims are intended to be considered as being embraced within the spirit and scope of the claims.
