Abstract:
While there is generally high interest for women to wear complementing,
jeans that highlight desireable curves, not all women have the figure
that they feel is fit for these tight-fitting jeans. Designer jean
manufacturers specifically design the jeans to an all-too-uncommon
figure. To enable the majority of women to comfortably wear these
designer jeans this invention creates a method of concealing the body's
curves to fit. The invention focuses on the areas surrounding the hips
and inner thighs. The invention is a series of composite inserts that
conform around the body to create a seamless, slimming appearance. These
inserts can be independent of the garment or they can be affixed to
fabrics inner surface to allow for easy removal.Claims:
1. A composite body conforming padding device comprised of; An inner
stiffening member; An outer layer of soft material such as silicon and:
An adhesive surface on one side.
2. A composite body conforming padding device as detailed in claim 1 that can be inserted between the wearers pants and the hip region for the purpose of creating a seamless appearance.
3. A composite body conforming padding device as detailed in claim 1 that can be attached to the wearers jeans by an integral flap that folds over the belt and can be retained in-place by a belt.
4. A composite body conforming padding device as detailed in claim 1 that can be attached to the wearers jeans by an integral, reusable, adhesive strip that holds the device in-place.
5. A composite body conforming padding device comprised of; An inner stiffening member and; An outer layer of soft material such as silicon and; A joining material to connect two symmetrical devices.
6. A composite body conforming padding device as detailed in claim 5 that can be inserted into the wearers jeans to straddle the crotch region with the joining member for the purpose of creating a seamless appearance of the inner thighs.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The present invention generally relates to a body conforming device used in conjunction with apparel to improve the appearance of the human body.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] While there is generally high interest for women to wear complementing, jeans that highlight desireable curves, not all women have the figure that they feel is fit for these tight-fitting jeans. Designer jean manufacturers specifically design the jeans to an all-too-uncommon figure. To enable the majority of women to comfortably wear these designer jeans this invention creates a method of concealing the body's curves to fit. The invention focuses on the areas surrounding the hips and inner thighs. The invention is a series of composite inserts that conform around the body to create a seamless, slimming appearance. These inserts can be independent of the garment or they can be affixed to fabrics inner surface to allow for easy removal.
[0004] The present invention helps to satisfy all of these problems by creating the slimming appearance desired by the wearer.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The present invention is a contoured device that is intended to be worn around the hip area as well as the inner thigh area. The curved design and semi-rigid construction helps to create a smooth seamless silhouette while concealing irregularities in the human physique. The inner core of the invention is made of a semi-rigid material to provide the stiffness necessary. The invention is then coated with a soft, comfortable material such as Silicon or Thermoplastic Elastomer. This outer layer provides the user with comfort needed to make wearing the invention non-invasive. The convex surface of the invention can be coated further with a tacky material such as a reusable adhesive. The purpose of this material is to provide the adhesion needed to the users pants to ensure placement is maintained.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0012] The following detailed description is of the best currently contemplated modes of carrying out exemplary embodiments of the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention, since the scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims.
[0013] Broadly, an embodiment of the present invention generally provides a method of creating a slimming appearance to the wearers hip and inner thigh region while wearing jeans, shorts, skirt, pants or similar.
[0014] FIG. 1 shows an installed view of an exemplary embodiment of the invention. The hip pads (3) and inner thigh pads (4) are shown underneath the users pants (2). The user places these pads between the body (1) and the pants (2) to create a slimming appearance.
[0015] FIG. 2 shows the close up isometric view of the hip conforming padding of the exemplary embodiment of the invention from FIG. 1. The hip pads (3) are shown on both sides of the users body (1) underneath the pants (2). Additionally, the inner thigh pads (4) are shown installed between the user and their pants (2).
[0016] FIG. 3 shows the frontal view of the invention from FIG. 1. The body conforming padding is comprised of a semi-rigid inner core (5) and a soft outer layer (6). The top and bottom profiles are also filleted to adapt to the natural curvature of the users thigh and hip areas.
[0017] FIG. 4 shows the end section view of the invention from FIG. 1. The body conforming padding is formed in a concave fashion to mate with the natural curvature of the human upper thigh and hip area. The semi-rigid inner core (5) is shown here surrounded by a soft inner layer (6) ranging in thickness of 1/10'' to 1/2''.
[0018] FIG. 5 shows an alternative configuration of the invention from FIG. 1. In this depiction, the hip pad (3) is shown with a belt loop retainer (7) attached to the upper face. This belt loop retainer (7) extends outward perpendicular from the upper face of the hip pad (3). The belt loop retainer (7) then curves back down in the direction of the length of the hip pad (3). This bend is designed to hang onto the top edge of the users pants while providing a path for the users belt to pass through.
[0019] FIG. 6 shows the inner thigh configuration of the invention from FIG. 1. Two inner thigh pads (4) can be joined together via a flexible attachment strap (8). The purpose of this strap is to keep the two inner thigh pads from moving when being worn by the user.
[0020] In an exemplary embodiment, both the hip conforming and inner thigh conforming pads are independent of the wearers garment and could be transferred to and from different pants. The pads would be held in place using a surface securing adhesive.
[0021] It should be understood, of course, that the foregoing relates to an exemplary embodiments of the invention and that modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claim.
