20080247318 | Low cost method of communication via the power supply grid - This invention describes a low cost method for electrical and electronic appliances to communicate with a master control appliance (such as a computer). It has often been said that very soon all appliances will be connected to the internet. However this is economically infeasible at this time. The minimum cost of adding ethernet connectivity to an appliance is approximately $100. For an appliance that costs less than $100 (and there are many) this is obviously infeasible. This invention describes a method which can be implemented for less than $2 and will meet the needs of an appliance to communicate with a master control appliance (such as a computer). | 10-09-2008 |
20090015176 | Laser assisted fluorescent lamp - In this invention a fluorescent lamp is described containing semiconductor laser diodes used to ionize the gases inside the lamp. This avoids the need for a high voltage to cause the gases to ionize sufficiently that current can flow through the lamp. If configured correctly, the use of Mercury vapor to initiate breakdown of the gases can be avoided. Also by regulating the light output of the laser the current flowing through the lamp can be regulated thus avoiding the need for a ballast. | 01-15-2009 |
20090038902 | Method of providing electricity to a moving automobile - This invention describes a new method of supplying a moving automobile with electricity. Electrodes placed beneath the automobile pass over electrodes embedded in the roadway. The capacitance between the electrodes beneath the car and the electrodes embedded in the roadway closes the circuit and high voltage pulses or a high voltage sinusoidal signal is transferred from the electrodes in the roadway to the electrodes beneath the car. This power is used to charge the car batteries. Hence the charging occurs while the automobile is in motion so that the automobile can travel from city to city without ever stopping. | 02-12-2009 |
