20100025259 | Precious Metal Recovery from Solution - A method for recovering precious metals such as gold and silver from aqueous solution as solid is described The method includes mixing an aqueous solution (e.g, thiosulfate or thiocyanate lixiviant) containing precious metals with ferrous ions in the presence of an effective amount of hydroxide ions. The precious metal ions are reduced and co-precipitate with iron hydroxides and/or hydrated iron oxides The co-precipitate is collected and purified. De-oxygenation of the reaction solution is optional. The recover/method is fast, complete and clean. | 02-04-2010 |
20100116092 | PROCESS FOR EXTRACTING GOLD FROM GOLD-BEARING ORE - A process for extracting gold from a gold-bearing ore. The process includes, first, providing a leaching liquor with thiosulfate anion and ethylenediamine. Next, the leaching liquor is contacted with the gold-bearing ore to form a pregnant leach solution including gold dissolved from the gold-bearing ore. Finally, at least part of the gold in the pregnant leach solution is recovered. | 05-13-2010 |
20140212346 | PROCESS OF LEACHING PRECIOUS METALS - The invention relates to modifications of a non-ammoniacal thiosulfate process of leaching precious metals (e.g. gold or silver) from precious metal-containing ores. The process involves leaching the ore with an aqueous lixiviant containing a soluble thiosulfate other than ammonium thiosulfate, a copper compound and an organic compound that serves as a copper ligand (i.e. a ligand-forming compound). Four modifications of this process are effective for increasing the amount of precious metal that can be extracted, reducing the consumption of materials, or for improving the rate of extraction. These four process, which may be used singly or in any combination, include (a) additions of soluble lead (e.g. as lead nitrate), (b) additions of thiourea, (c) increases in dissolved oxygen, and (d) increases of temperature at ambient pressure. This avoids the use environmentally harmful chemicals and allows for extraction from a variety of ores, e.g., containing substantial amounts of sulfides and/or quartz. | 07-31-2014 |

20090126702 | VAPOR CANISTER HAVING INTEGRATED EVAPORATIVE EMISSION PURGE ACTUATION MONITORING SYSTEM HAVING FRESH AIR FILTER - A vapor canister having an integrated evaporative emission canister purge actuation monitoring system. The vapor canister has a plurality of sidewalls defining a housing with a valve body formed integrally on the housing and a cover mounted to the valve body so as to define a vent chamber between the cover and the valve body. The integrated valve body has a main flow passage and a canister port. An air filter assembly is disposed adjacent to the valve body on the housing and provides fluid communication between the main flow passage and the ambient air. A first one-way umbrella valve mounted to the valve body that is responsive to predetermined positive pressure in the main flow passage to control flow of fluid from a vapor canister to ambient air as well as a second one-way umbrella valve that is responsive to a predetermined negative pressure in the main flow passage to control the flow of ambient air through an air filter assembly. | 05-21-2009 |
20090132147 | Evaporative emission canister purge actuation monitoring system having an integrated fresh air filter - An evaporative emission canister purge actuation monitoring system includes an integrated valve body having a main flow passage, and an air filter assembly disposed adjacent the valve body and providing fluid communication between the main flow passage and the ambient air. A first one-way umbrella valve mounted to the valve body that is responsive to predetermined positive pressure in the main flow passage to control flow of fluid from a vapor canister to ambient air as well as a second one-way umbrella valve that is responsive to a predetermined negative pressure in the main flow passage to control the flow of ambient air through a fresh air port. | 05-21-2009 |
20100059344 | LIQUID LEVEL SENSOR - A vessel for accumulating water removed from a hydrocarbon fuel supply is disclosed. The vessel may include a base member and a cover cooperating with the base member to define a reservoir for receiving a liquid. The cover defines a pocket that may be integrally formed with the cover, the pocket generally preventing intrusion of the liquid in the reservoir. The vessel further includes a liquid level sensor, including a switch received in the pocket, and an actuator configured to activate the switch when the fluid within the reservoir reaches a predetermined level. | 03-11-2010 |
20100206396 | CONSTRUCTIONAL UNIT AND FRESH AIR SYSTEM - The invention relates to a pre-assembled constructional unit ( | 08-19-2010 |
20100230212 | OIL PAN INTEGRATED WITH FILTER AND OTHER COMPONENTS - An oil pan assembly is disclosed that includes an oil filter, and an oil pan receiving the filter. The oil pan includes a reservoir defining a drain aperture for selectively draining fluid out of the oil pan, and a wall defining a filter cavity in fluid communication with a receiving passage and a sending passage of the oil pan. The oil pan further includes a filter cover assembly, including a cover securing the oil filter within the filter cavity, a filter drain tube extending from the cover through the filter cavity and into a drain passage, and a plug disposed on the filter drain tube, the plug selectively sealing the drain passage. The drain passage allows fluid communication between the filter cavity and the reservoir. The filter drain tube is configured to receive filtered oil from the oil filter. | 09-16-2010 |
20120103880 | FUEL FILTER HAVING INTEGRATED SENSORS - A fuel filter assembly for an internal combustion engine includes a molded plastic housing defining an interior filter chamber. A filter element is operatively supported in the filter chamber. Fuel is passed through the filter chamber to remove impurities. At least one sensor is operatively supported by the housing for sensing at least one condition of the fuel passing through the fuel filter. The sensor includes an element that is exposed to the fuel. A common connector terminal is adapted to provide electrical communication with a source of power. Leads extend between the element and the common connector terminal. The leads are encased in plastic substantially between the element and the common connector terminal such that the leads are sealed from contact with the fuel. The present invention is also directed toward a method of manufacturing a fuel filter for an internal combustion engine. | 05-03-2012 |
