20110119339 | FACILITATING AND ENCOURAGING CAREGROUP COMMUNICATIONS VIA A CLOSED COMMUNICATION SERVICE AND HARDCOPY-BASED EMAIL APPLIANCES - Methods and systems are provided for promoting and managing communications from members of a caregroup to a target of the caregroup. According to one embodiment a method is provided for delivering digital gifts to a target of a caregroup. Information defining a caregroup, including a target of a care group, members of the caregroup that are permitted to send digital gifts to the target of the caregroup and one or more administrating caregivers of the caregroup, is received. Potential recipients of digital gifts from the members of the caregroup are limited to the target of the caregroup and targets of any other caregroups of which the members are a part. An indication of a digital gift desired to be generated and caused to be delivered in hardcopy form to a hardcopy-based email appliance of the target of the caregroup is received. The hardcopy-based email appliance is operable to receive digital gifts from the members of the caregroup and produce hardcopy output of the digital gifts for the target of the caregroup. For each content-containing component of the digital gift, default content items are selected based upon one or more of biographical information previously supplied by one or more members of the caregroup, information regarding communications history from the member of the caregroup to the target of the caregroup, ascertained preferences of the target of the caregroup, and a type of the digital gift. The member of the caregroup is allowed to initiate delivery of the digital gift with the selected default content items or is allowed personalize the digital gift prior to delivery by presenting the digital gift within a corresponding digital gift editor. | 05-19-2011 |

20120234284 | Crankcase and Method of Manufacturing Same - A crankcase is provided for an internal combustion engine with at least one coated cylinder bore, which has a chamfer on a separating surface facing a cylinder head. A countersink is arranged on the chamfer. The geometry allows an additional grinding process on a separating surface facing a cylinder head to be omitted. | 09-20-2012 |
20130199507 | Method for Producing a Ventilation Bore in a Thrust Bearing of a Crankcase of a Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine - A method is provided for producing a ventilation bore in a thrust bearing of a crankcase of a reciprocating internal combustion engine by milling. The milling cutter is an angled-head milling cutter, which is introduced into the crankcase in the direction of a cylinder longitudinal axis and is moved in the direction of a crankcase longitudinal axis until the thrust bearing is perforated. Subsequently, the angled-head milling cutter is moved back in the direction of the crankcase longitudinal axis and removed from the crankcase by moving the angled-head milling cutter in the direction of the cylinder longitudinal axis. Internal stresses in the crankcase are avoided by the production of the ventilation bore, as a result of which the strength of the crankcase is increased. | 08-08-2013 |
