20130024942 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING DATA EXTRUSION IN SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS - Comprehensive techniques identify data leaks in software applications using Asset Flow Analysis (AFA) to determine whether critical data leaves a system through an exit point such that the data is no longer protected by mechanisms of the system. A novel data extrusion mechanism makes use of a relevant subset of all the possible data paths detected by AFA using a knowledge base of critical business functions and critical database content. The system checks if any code performs read access to critical business data and subsequently transfers this data beyond the control limits of the target system. The knowledge base can be extended by configuring which database content is to be regarded as critical in any given organization. The approach is particularly valuable in protecting systems that manipulate, distribute, or store sensitive information associated with financial, business, or personal data, including SAP® ABAP™ software applications. | 01-24-2013 |

ABAPtm CODE - A static code analysis (SCA) tool, apparatus and method detects, prioritizes and fixes security defects and compliance violations in SAP® ABAP™ code. The code, meta information and computer system configuration settings are transformed into an interchangeable format, and parsed into an execution model. A rules engine is applied to the execution model to identify security and compliance violations. The rules engine may include information about critical database tables and critical SAP standard functions, and the step of applying the rules engine to the execution model may include the calculation of specific business risks or whether a technical defect has a business-relevant impact. In particular, an asset flow analysis may be used to determine whether critical business data is no longer protected by the computer system. Such critical business data may include credit or debit card numbers, financial data or personal data. | 01-19-2012 |

20100221186 | BIOMARKERS FOR CARDIOVASCULAR SIDE-EFFECTS INDUCED BY COX-2 INHIBITORY COMPOUNDS - Cardiovascular tissue mRNA expression profiles in monkeys treated with coxibs was analyzed. Genomic data indicated that the animals showing vasculitis exhibit a specific mRNA expression pattern. The pattern includes gene expression changes involved in blood and endothelial cell (EC) activation, interaction of blood cells with EC, activation of INFγ pathway, and release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemo-attractants. These results provide direct evidence of minimal vasculitis together with corresponding genomic signature and peripheral biomarkers for minimal vasculatis. These results also suggest that treatment might triggers/aggravate a clinically latent cardiovascular disorder in the context of an endothelium tropic viral infection and/or an autoimmune vascular disorder. The histopathological examination revealed marginal vascular changes consistent with the genomic findings. Measurement of soluble proteins present in serum and plasma using a multiplex assay were in line with the genomic results, showing the increased level of INFγ inducible proteins, increased expression of CXCL10 chemokine was confirmed by an ELISA both in serum and plasma. Use of these peripheral biomarkers allows a safe usage of cox-2 inhibitory compounds in clinics and selection of cox-2 inhibitory follow-up compounds with no cardiovascular toxicity. These data together with biochemical and histopathological findings suggest that the specific cox2 inhibitor may exaggerate host immune response during some specific viral infections with endothelial tropism, or subjacent vascular autoimmune disorders. | 09-02-2010 |

20110214422 | RICH FUEL MIXTURE SUPER-TURBOCHARGED ENGINE SYSTEM - Disclosed is a super-turbocharger system that increases power and efficiency of an engine. The system uses the exothermic properties of a catalytic converter to extract additional energy from exhaust heat that is used to add power to the engine. Compressed air is supplied and mixed with exhaust gases upstream and/or downstream from a catalytic converter that is connected to an exhaust manifold. The gaseous mixture of exhaust gases and compressed air is sufficiently rich in oxygen to oxidize hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide in the catalytic converter, which adds heat to the gaseous mixture. In addition, a sufficient amount of compressed air is supplied to the exhaust gases to maintain the temperature of the gaseous mixture at a substantially optimal temperature level. The gaseous mixture is applied to the turbine of the super-turbocharger, which increases the output of said super-turbocharger, which increases the power and efficiency of said engine. | 09-08-2011 |
20120186248 | SUPERTURBOCHARGER CONTROL SYSTEMS - Disclosed is a control system and method for controlling a superturbocharged engine system in various operation modes. Throttle control mode may idle the superturbocharger during low and medium engine loads, so that boost is not created in the intake manifold. During high engine load conditions (open throttle), boosting occurs in response to the driver, operator, or control system requesting increased engine loads. For transient control mode, the control system may respond to transient conditions in response to engine speed and load so that the engine does not bog down or overcome vehicle traction limits. The control system may also predict future operating points. For steady state control mode, the control system may receive a plurality of input data, an actual/current control data input, look up a desired value for the control input, compare the desired to the actual control input, and perform control logic on the comparison results to obtain an updated continuously variable transmission ratio to control the superturbocharged engine system independent of throttling on the engine. | 07-26-2012 |
