20110196514ADAPTIVE CONTROL FOR UNCERTAIN NONLINEAR MULTI-INPUT MULTI-OUTPUT SYSTEMS - Systems and methods of adaptive control for uncertain nonlinear multi-input multi-output systems in the presence of significant unmatched uncertainty with assured performance are provided. The need for gain-scheduling is eliminated through the use of bandwidth-limited (low-pass) filtering in the control channel, which appropriately attenuates the high frequencies typically appearing in fast adaptation situations and preserves the robustness margins in the presence of fast adaptation.08-11-2011

20090190806Method for tracking of contrast enhacement pattern for pharmacokinetic and parametric analysis in fast-enhancing tissues using high -resolution mri - A method for performing a high-resolution pharmacokinetic analysis for calculation of tissue parameters for a fast-enhancing tissue enables medical personnel to accurately determine pharmacokinetic parameters in fast-enhancing tissues. The method includes obtaining mask image data of the tissue when it is in a steady state condition, obtaining a time series of image data of the tissue when the contrast agent is flowing in the tissue, and increasing a spatial resolution of the time series of image data using the mask image data to obtain a time series of increased spatial resolution image data. The method further includes performing a pharmacokinetic analysis to obtain data including at least one parameter that characterizes the tissue, providing a multi-parameter look-up table derived from a combination of two or more parameters, and providing a display including one parameter or a parametric image, where the parametric image is derived from the look-up table.07-30-2009

20100087746METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ANALYZING BODY SOUNDS - The invention provides a method and system for analyzing body sounds from one or more body organs. An array of transducers is fixed to the body surface over the organs from which body sounds are to be recorded. Analysis of the recorded sound signals includes dividing each signal into one or more time intervals and calculating an average of the signal in each time interval. A difference signal is calculated for each interval, where the difference signal is the difference of the recorded signal in the interval and the interval average. An energy assessment signal is then calculated in each interval using the difference signal. In an embodiment, the energy assessment signal is a standard deviation signal. The subject matter may be used to record and analyze cardiovascular sounds for diagnosing abnormal cardiovascular function, or for calculating an ejection fraction.04-08-2010
20110021933Methods and Systems for Use in Determination of a Patient's Heart Condition - A method and system are presented for use in monitoring a subject's heart conditions such as ejection fraction and cardiac synchrony. For determination of the ejection fraction, ECG measured data is processed. This ECG measured data comprises a first measured data portion indicative of a first time profile of an electrical signal measured on a planar pair of electrodes applied on a patient during a measurement session and a second measured data portion indicative a second time profile of an electrical signal measured on a diagonal pair of electrodes applied to said patient during said measurement session. The processing comprises comparing the first and second data portions to identify a time shift between a predetermined event in the first and second time profiles. For the determination of heart synchrony, first and second measured data portions corresponding to respectively an ECG measurement and an acoustic measurement both obtained from a patient during the same measurement session of a duration including at least two cardiovascular cycles, are processed. Such processing comprises identifying predetermined first and second events in each of said at least two cycles in the first and second measured data portions, respectively, determining a relation between the first and second events for each of the at least two cycles, determining a degree of fluctuation of said relation in the at least two cycles.01-27-2011
