20100173759 | Door Mounted Gym - A portable door mounted exercise system that can be easily set up and taken down and which doesn't occupy any significant floor space. The system provides variable resistance for aerobic, cardiovascular and muscle building exercises. Variable resistance is provided through a set of elastic cords. A user can select to use any combination of the cords to provide a desired level of resistance for exercise and training. The cords can be attached to a handle, ankle strap, squat strap or neck strap depending on the type of exercise or training desired by the user. The cords can be attached to a pulley system and bracket which is slidably attached to a door mount to provide variable positioning for the pulley system. The system can also include a training computer to provide audio and video training information to the user. | 07-08-2010 |

20130157818 | PORTABLE FITNESS CHAIR - A portable exercise chair that includes a chair frame, a chair seat and a resistance system. The resistance system includes first and second resistance arrangements. Each of the resistance arrangements includes first and second resistance hubs and a stretchable resistance member. The resistance hubs on the first and second resistance arrangements are releasably and swivelly connected to the chair frame. The resistance system is designed to enable a user to perform a variety of exercises. The portable exercise chair can include a retractable foot plate. | 06-20-2013 |
20130178343 | THIGH EXERCISE DEVICE - A thigh exercise device includes a curved track, two foot pedal assemblies movably attached to the curved track and respectively having a guide pulley, and two resistance assemblies each having two pulleys rotatably mounted on the curved track and a resistance band wound around the pulleys and the guide pulley of one of the foot pedal assemblies. When the foot pedal assemblies are moved along the curved track, the resistance bands can be pulled tight by the guide members of the foot pedal assemblies such that a user can strengthen thigh muscles through the tension provided by the resistance bands. | 07-11-2013 |
20140179498 | ABDOMINAL TRACK EXERCISE DEVICE - An abdominal exercise device includes a straight, round track having a front end and a back end, and a sliding base movable along the track between the front end and the back end. The sliding base includes a housing disposed around the track, and a plurality of sheaves disposed in the housing and rotatably attached to the housing and engagable with the track to roll along the track. | 06-26-2014 |

20090046908 | Detecting Meniscal Tears in Non-Invasive Scans - Techniques for automatically detecting meniscus include receiving pixels from a scanning device directed to a knee of a subject. Also received is a region of interest that includes pixels that correspond to at least a portion of a meniscus of the knee. Without human intervention, a meniscus extraction threshold is determined based on pixel intensities in the region of interest. A meniscus object portion of the scan data is further determined without human intervention based on the meniscus extraction threshold and a geometrical constraint. | 02-19-2009 |

20130177894 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RELATIVE PEER REVIEW - Methods and computer-based products are described for standardized, controlled, peer review of responses to defined material. A logic application for standardizing the defined material, a database for storing information, a program component, and a user interface are described. The user interface is adapted to display standardized material to a user and allow that user to construct a response to the material. The program component is adapted to select at random a pre-defined number of peer responses to the same standardized material to be simultaneously displayed to the user along with the user's response. The user is then allowed to judge all of the responses in reference to one another, and possibly an externally provided reference. The program component is adapted to determine the frequency of responses solicited, limit the display of peer responses, and quantify the user's evaluation to produce feedback related to the relative quality of responses reviewed. | 07-11-2013 |
20140371584 | PATIENT MOUNTED MRI AND CT COMPATIBLE ROBOT FOR NEEDLE GUIDANCE IN INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES - A patient mountable robot includes a four link mechanism, three actuators, and a first robot base. The mechanism includes four links that form a closed loop structure. The four links include a base link that includes a spherical joint. The mechanism provides two rotational degrees of freedom about the spherical joint for a needle that is configured to pass through the spherical joint. A first actuator is attached to the mechanism and moves the mechanism to provide the first of the two rotational degrees of freedom. A second actuator is attached to the mechanism and moves the mechanism to provide the second of the two rotational degrees of freedom. The base link of the mechanism passes through the first robot base. A third actuator is attached to the first robot base and linearly translates the base link so that a translational degree of freedom is provided for the needle. | 12-18-2014 |

20140100485 | QUANTITATIVE ASSESSMENT OF THE SKULL - A technique for performing computational analysis of craniosynostosis from CT images is discussed. An image-computing platform assesses craniofacial malformations by using a shape analysis methodology for image processing. The shape of a patient's craniofacial anatomy is assessed in terms of a statistical shape model that incorporates normal shape variability. The model allows for the identification of a closest normal variant to a patient's anatomy rather than comparing the patient's anatomy to an age-specific average shape. Further, an image registration and segmentation method is discussed which enables obtaining a personalized anatomical model for each patient, thereby achieving a precise and systematic characterization of shape abnormality. Visual (qualitative) and quantitative surgical planning, as well as pre-operative and post-operative assessments are achieved. Further, automatic surgical planning for cranial vault reconstruction using tessellation algorithms to establish the relationship between patient's anatomy and the closest normal variant is discussed. | 04-10-2014 |
