20090222675 | TAMPER RESISTANT MEMORY PROTECTION - Various mechanisms are disclosed for protecting the security of memory in a computing environment. A security layer can have an encryption layer and a hashing layer that can dynamically encrypt and then dynamically hash sensitive information, as it is being loaded to dynamic memory of a computing device. For example, a memory unit that can correspond to a memory page can be processed by the security layer, and header data, code, and protect-worthy data can be secured, while other non-sensitive data can be left alone. Once such information is secured and stored in dynamic memory, it can be accessed at a later time by a processor and unencrypted and hash checked. Then, it can be loaded back onto the dynamic memory, thereby preventing direct memory access attacks. | 09-03-2009 |

20090005229 | BOOKLETMAKER NIP-IDLER ASSIST CREASING DEVICE - An assembly to crease a paper set in a booklet maker is provided. A booklet is formed in a booklet marker when a crease blade strikes the middle of the stack and pushes it toward a set of nipped crease rolls. The assembly engages spring-loaded idlers against the crease rolls after the crease blade initiates the buckle of the stack and prior to creasing. The spring loaded idlers apply a drive force to the stack that assists the formation of the crease. With the assistance of this extra drive force, the crease blade tip can be stopped in time to avoid jamming while reducing the chance of getting a cover, or more sheets tearing off the booklet. This design is compact in size and therefore may also be retrofitted into existing designs. | 01-01-2009 |

20140366833 | Connecting Rod with Bearing-less Large End - A connecting rod of an internal combustion engine, that includes a large bore, and an interior bore surface. The current art uses soft metal bearing surfaces to reduce wear, and friction between the connecting rod inner diameter and the crankshaft journal surface. The soft metal bearing surface is a separate component of the engine. In this invention the large bore end interior diameter is coated with a hard material to reduce, or eliminate wear. The hard material is a metal or metal alloy applied to the inner diameter by a thermal spray method. A relatively soft polymer material can also be applied to the interior diameter surface of the con-rod bore. The relatively softer polymer acts as a first and sometimes a consumable layer, and applied over the thermal sprayed hard layer. The polymer layer is often used in conjunction with the sprayed metal layer. The polymer coating may be worn off the inner diameter surface; this delay in surface to surface contact to the sprayed metal layer has beneficial effects on the sprayed metal layer. The delay of surface to surface contact will usually result in a longer service life of the sprayed metal coating. | 12-18-2014 |
