The weatherstrip has a body including a cross-sectionally substantially-U-shaped trim portion, and a hollow seal portion. Additionally, a design lip is formed on the trim portion to extend therefrom. Then, a decorative layer formed of a woven fabric is provided on a design surface of the weatherstrip through a hotmelt adhesive layer. The woven fabric constituting the decorative layer is constituted by raw yarns. Also, a hotmelt adhesive layer is thermally fused thereto due to residual heat in a case where the body is cooled to a temperature, which is equal to or lower than a predetermined value, after vulcanization of a material of the body.
