20090233075 | Flame Blocking Liner Materials - A fire blocking non-woven textile containing a first carded web of char-forming fibers containing aramid or melamine/formaldehyde fiber and a second carded web of oxygen-depleting fibers comprising a blend of polyacrylonitrile copolymer with a halogen comonomer and a polyester polymer. The webs may be needled-punched or thermally bonded and remain as separate layers separating the action of the char forming and oxygen depleting layers to optimize char strength, provide a light weight product, which may satisfy 16 CFR 1633 at thicknesses of up to 3.0 mm. | 09-17-2009 |
20100011562 | NON-WOVEN WITH SELECTED LOCATIONS/REGIONS OF JOINED FIBERS FOR MECHANICAL ATTACHMENT - In a first embodiment, the present disclosure is directed at a non-woven fabric, which provides, at selected locations, the ability to mechanically and releasably join with a hook fastener. The non-woven web may include entangled fibers which have been overprinted with dots, lines or designs to create defined locations of joined fibers which may engage with a corresponding hook profile. The print material may include thermoplastic and thermoset binder systems. The binder systems may include a gas expanding substrate (e.g. gas-filled microspheres) which may provide a relatively thicker location for joining with the corresponding hook engaging material. | 01-21-2010 |
20130081238 | FLAME BLOCKING LINER MATERIALS - A fire blocking non-woven textile containing a first carded web of char-forming fibers containing aramid or melamine/formaldehyde fiber and a second carded web of oxygen-depleting fibers comprising a blend of polyacrylonitrile copolymer with a halogen comonomer and a polyester polymer. The webs may be needled-punched or thermally bonded and remain as separate layers separating the action of the char forming and oxygen depleting layers to optimize char strength, provide a light weight product, which may satisfy 16 CFR 1633 at thicknesses of up to 3.0 mm. | 04-04-2013 |

20140330441 | TECHNIQUES TO DETERMINE SETTINGS FOR AN ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION NETWORK - Techniques to determine settings for an electrical distribution network are described. Some embodiments are particularly directed to techniques to determine settings for an electrical distribution network using power flow heuristics. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a model reception component, a forecast component, and an optimization component. The model reception component may be operative to receive a model of an electrical distribution network having multiple capacitor banks and multiple voltage regulators, each of the multiple capacitor banks represented in the model by a model capacitor bank, each of the multiple voltage regulators represented in the model by a model voltage regulator, the electrical distribution network having a radial layout in which power flows from a source to multiple nodes in which each node is associated with one voltage regulator. The forecast reception component may be operative to receive a forecast for demand on the electrical distribution network. The optimization component may be operative to receive the model capacitor banks and model voltage regulators and determine one or more settings for the multiple capacitor banks and multiple voltage regulators that allow for providing power within predetermined limits while reducing power loss as compared to a power loss of the existing settings or reducing power usage as compared to a power usage of the existing settings, the one or more settings for the multiple voltage regulators determined according to a heuristic in which potential settings are iteratively determined for each of the model voltage regulators based on a least squares model of load flow analysis. Other embodiments are described and claimed. | 11-06-2014 |

20100120133 | Separation device for use in the separation, characterization and/or identification of microorganisms - The present invention is directed to a separation device or container that can be used in the separation, isolation or pelleting of microorganisms from a test samples known to contain or suspected of containing said microorganisms. Subsequently, the separated, isolated or pelleted microorganism sample can undergo one or more interrogation steps to provide measurements useful for the characterization and/or identification of microorganism. In one aspect of the present invention, the interrogation steps can occur in situ in the separation device or container described herein. | 05-13-2010 |

20100037578 | HEIGHT OF CUT ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM FOR ROTARY CUTTING DECK - A height of cut adjustment mechanism is provided for a rotary cutting deck mounted on a lift arm extending from a traction vehicle. The mechanism includes a front axle and a rear axle, at least one roller mounted on each axle, and a pair of height of cut arms extending from each axle to a pivot axis on the rotary cutting deck. A notch lock on each height of cut arm may be moved between a locked position in which the notch lock engages a notch plate at a desired cutting height, and an unlocked position in which the notch lock disengages the notch plate so that the height of cut arm can pivot with respect to the rotary cutting deck. A lever attached to each notch lock can be operated to move the notch lock between the locked and the unlocked positions. | 02-18-2010 |

20080196380 | SHIFT MECHANISM FOR TRIM MOWER CUTTING UNITS - A shift mechanism for trim mower cutting units includes a pair of slidable carriers. Each slidable carrier can slide along a pair of guide rods mounted to a mower frame. A hydraulic extension cylinder is connected to each slidable carrier and independently extends to move the slidable carrier laterally outward from the mower frame or retracts to move the slidable carrier laterally inward in relation to the mower frame. A hydraulic shifting cylinder is mounted between the two extension cylinders and extends to shift both slidable carriers laterally inward toward a center position, and retracts to move both slidable carriers laterally outward toward an extended position. | 08-21-2008 |
20090007535 | SHIFT MECHANISM FOR TRIM MOWER CUTTING UNITS - A shift mechanism for trim mower cutting units includes a pair of slidable carriers. 20090014225 | REVERSE OVER-RIDE SYSTEM FOR MOWER TRACTION DRIVE - A reverse over-ride system is provided for a mower traction drive having a front pair of hydraulic traction motors and a rear pair of hydraulic traction motors. Each motor is operable in a forward direction or a reverse direction, and each front motor is in series with a rear motor. The system includes a solenoid operated valve connected to each rear motor. Each solenoid operated valve has a first position in which a check valve opens to allow recirculation through the rear wheel motors while the mower operates in a forward turn, and closes to disallow recirculation so the rear wheel motors may build pressure and drive during hill climbing. Each solenoid operated valve has a second position allowing free rotation of the rear motor while the machine operates in a reverse direction. A mechanical or electronic linkage is provided between the reverse pedal and solenoid operated valves. | 01-15-2009 |
