20150199005 | CURSOR MOVEMENT DEVICE - The position of a symbol presented on a visual display unit is selectively controlled by either physical movement information (e.g. mouse movement) or the user's gaze position. Rapid and/or significant change in determined gaze position to a position on the visual display unit followed by the determined gaze position lingering at the position will cause the system to use the user's gaze position to move the symbol else the physical movement information is used. | 07-16-2015 |

20120249118 | CABLE IDENTIFICATION DEVICE - Presented is a device and method for identifying a cable in a group of cables, where a transmitting inductive coupler is placed on one end of the cable and a receiving inductive coupler is used to identify the cable from among several cables. The inductive couplers are of a novel construction using split rings and copper windings around each half of the split rings. A meter is used to measure how much signal is on each of the cables tested, and a comparison of the readings indicates which cable is the same cable to which the transmitting inductive coupler is attached. | 10-04-2012 |

20100138964 | PROBES FOR ENHANCED MAGNETIC FORCE MICROSCOPY RESOLUTION - Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM) probe tips that provide enhanced spatial resolution and methods of manufacture are provided. In one aspect, two or more magnetically-decoupled layers may be deposited on an AFM probe in order to create an active magnetic region at about the apex of the probe tip with dimensions less than about 10 nanometers. In another aspect, nanoscale patterning techniques may be employed to fabricate probe tips that possess plateau features. These plateau features may serve as substrates for the deposition of magnetic films having properties similar to magnetic recording media. Machining techniques, such as Focused Ion Beam (FIB) may be further employed to reduce the size of the magnetic materials deposited upon the substrate. Beneficially, because the plateaus of the substrate are substantially flat and of known geometry, and the magnetic properties of magnetic films deposited on flat surfaces are similar to those deposited upon the plateau, the magnetization of the MFM probe tips may be determined to high accuracy. In this manner, fine control over the magnetic properties of MFM probe tips may be achieved, providing enhanced MFM resolution. | 06-03-2010 |
20100149676 | THREE-DIMENSIONAL MAGNETIC RECORDING - A multilayered three-dimensional media having a plurality of magnetic sublayers, each of the magnetic sublayers being separated from one another by a non-magnetic layer. The plurality of magnetic sublayers can be a stack of one or more coupled Co/Pd or Co/Pt layers; a layer of Co—Cr alloys optionally containing TiO | 06-17-2010 |

20100140792 | GRAPHITE NANOPLATELETS FOR THERMAL AND ELECTRICAL APPLICATIONS - This disclosure concerns a procedure for bulk scale preparation of high aspect ratio, 2-dimensional nano platelets comprised of a few graphene layers, G | 06-10-2010 |
20100316557 | CONTINUOUS EXTRACTION TECHNIQUE FOR THE PURIFICATION OF CARBON NANOMATERIALS - Systems and methods for the purification of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by continuous liquid extraction are disclosed. Carbon nanotubes are introduced to a flow of liquid that enables the separation of CNTs from impurities due to differences in the dispersibility of the CNTs and the impurities within the liquid. Examples of such impurities may include amorphous carbon, graphitic nanoparticles, and metal containing nanoparticles. The continuous extraction process may be performed in one or more stages, where one or more of extraction parameters may be varied between the stages of the continuous extraction process in order to effect removal of selected impurities from the CNTs. The extraction parameters may include, but are not limited to, the extraction liquid, the flow rate of the extraction liquid, the agitation of the liquid, and the pH of the liquid, and may be varied, depending on the impurity to be removed from the CNTs. | 12-16-2010 |
20110068290 | CHEMICAL MODULATION OF ELECTRONIC AND MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF GRAPHENE - Compounds, compositions, systems and methods for the chemical and electrochemical modification of the electronic structure of graphene and especially epitaxial graphene (EG) are presented. Beneficially, such systems and methods allow the large-scale fabrication of electronic EG devices. Vigorous oxidative conditions may allow substantially complete removal of the EG carbon atoms and the generation of insulating regions; such processing is equivalent to that which is currently used in the semiconductor industry to lithographically etch or oxidize silicon and thereby define the physical features and electronic structure of the devices. However graphene offers an excellent opportunity for controlled modification of the hybridization of the carbon atoms from sp | 03-24-2011 |
20110110842 | CONTINUOUS EXTRACTION TECHNIQUE FOR THE PURIFICATION OF CARBON NANOMATERIALS - Systems and methods for the extraction of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by continuous and/or batch processing are disclosed. Generally, a carbon nanotube material including carbon nanotubes (CNTs), carbon nanoparticles (CNPs), and carboxylated carbon (CC) is provided and agitated to produce a well-dispersed mixture. The well-dispersed mixture can be allowed to stand in a vessel having a lower end and an upper end. In some cases, the CNPs settle at the lower end. In some cases, at least some of the CNTs and CC are disposed at the upper end and can be removed in a dispersion, which can be pH adjusted and/or filtered to extract the CNTs from the CC. | 05-12-2011 |
20130202515 | ORGANOMETALLIC CHEMISTRY OF EXTENDED PERIODIC II-ELECTRON SYSTEMS - A method of modifying a carbon material is disclosed. 20160016306 | APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF RETAINING HAND TOOLS - A retaining system embodying a method and apparatus for adjustably retaining hand tools in any position on a ferromagnetic surface, such as on the exterior of heavy equipment or in a truck bed is provided. The retaining system may embody an elongated channel member and a tool retainer. The tool retainer may include a pair of clip flanges extending generally perpendicular from a base. The pair of clip flanges may form a tension clip for securing handles of the hand tools within a receptive cavity. The base may provide a magnet for removably attaching to the ferromagnetic surface. Moreover, the base may provide interlocking projections along its periphery so that two or more tool retainer may be interlocked together when stacked one on top of another. Alternatively, the tool holders may be slidably secured within the channel member, when nearby attachment surfaces are made of non-ferromagnetic material. | 01-21-2016 |
