20160120016 | LOW-POWER, COMPACT PIEZOELECTRIC PARTICLE EMISSION - A low-power, compact piezoelectric particle emitter for emitting particles such as X-rays and neutrons. A piezoelectric transformer crystal receives an input voltage at an input end and generates a higher output voltage at an output electrode disposed at an output end. The emitter is in a vacuum and the output voltage creates an electric field. A charged particle source is positioned relative a target such that charged particles from the charged particle source are accelerated by the electric field toward the target. Interaction between the accelerated charged particles and the target causes one of X-rays and neutrons to be emitted. | 04-28-2016 |

20100070090 | HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM USING COMPRESSED FLUID - Use of compressed air for indoor ambient temperature conditioning is disclosed. Thermal energy is imparted to or extracted from a quantity of compressed air, and the compressed air is then directed to be released inside a structure enclosing a space, whose ambient temperature needs to be controlled. Thus, the compressed air may be used as a direct heat conduction/extraction medium. A flow of external air is created over a heat exchanger mass (a “heating mass” or a “cooling mass”), so that thermal energy of the compressed air flowing inside the heat exchanger mass is transferred to the external flow of air flowing outside the heat exchanger mass. Thus, in addition to being a direct heat conduction/extraction medium, the compressed air is being used as a heat transfer medium, that ultimately gets mixed with the flow of external air. A fresh supply of external air may be used rather than using re-circulated air, in order to maintain a high quality of breathable air. A local feedback loop may be used to route back a portion of temperature-conditioned air produced by a system according to the present invention, to regulate a flow of external air over a heat exchanger mass. Other types of environmentally benign compressible fluids may be used as a heat transport/transfer fluid instead of compressed air. | 03-18-2010 |

20110184563 | ENERGY-RELATED INFORMATION PRESENTATION SYSTEM - A system and approach for diagnostic visualizations of, for example, building control systems data. A focus may be on a similarity metric for comparing operations among sites relative to energy consumption. Normalizing factors may be used across sites with varying equipment consumption levels to be compared automatically. There may also be a high level overview of an enterprise of sites. For instance, consumption totals of the sites may be normalized by site size and length of time of a billing period to identify such things as outlier sites. One may use a main view of geographic distribution dynamically linked to subviews showing distribution by size, by aggregated climate, and so on. For instance, consumption totals of the sites may be normalized by site size and length of time of a billing period to identify such things as outlier sites. One may use a main view of geographic distribution dynamically linked to subviews showing distribution by size, by aggregated climate, and so on. With these views, one may quickly drill through the enterprise and identify sites of interest for further investigation. A key metric may be intensity which invokes viewing virtually all sites by normalized consumption for a unit amount of time. | 02-13-2014 |
20140172400 | EQUIPMENT FAULT DETECTION, DIAGNOSTICS AND DISAGGREGATION SYSTEM - A system for fault detection and diagnostics of equipment. The system may also be capable of disaggregation and/or virtual submetering of energy consumption by equipment, such as that of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting, and so forth, in a building. Vibration and current sensors, along with one or more algorithms, may be utilized for fault detection and diagnostics of equipment. Models may be developed to aid in deducing energy consumption of individual components of equipment, and the like, for a building. | 06-19-2014 |

20140243123 | Annular Arrow Fletch - The invention is an annular arrow fletch arrow stabilizer are therefor provided. The annular arrow fletch is used for; stabilizing arrow flight, providing better clearance and functionality then conventional fixed glued tail feathers, the invention can be used with light emitting diode arrow nocks. The invention improves current arrow shaft stabilization technology with reduced assembly labor cost, the elimination of facial and or face mask interference issues providing more clearance, improved accuracy, repeatable production with the consistent injection mold production of the annular arrow fletch, easy replacement of the annular arrow fletch in the field, and improved arrow storage. The annular arrow fletch incorporates a metallic contact point, which will work with all light emitting nocks. The design of the annular arrow fletch is so that it is affixed to an arrow by an arrow nock and comprises of an annular wing, a central elongated cylindrical cylinder with a cap and a plurality of fins with micro-groves and a metal contact. In use, the annular arrow fletch is affixed at the aft end of the arrow by an arrow nock prior to launch. | 08-28-2014 |
