20110058646 | Transportation container inspection system and method - In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, containers, such as, for example, those used in transportation and shipping, can be inspected by using a CT X-ray scanning system with a large area detector plate. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention the detector plate can directly convert X-rays transmitted through the container into visible light, thus forming light patterns on the outer surface of the plates. The plates can then be analyzed using, for example, CCD or ICCD cameras and a data processor so as to form real-time 2D and/or 3D images of objects in the container. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention each such plate can comprise a coating of X-ray converting material such as, for example, a phosphor on a metallic plate. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention an exemplary scanning system can, for example, rotate a rotor having an X-ray source on one side of an axis of rotation, and a detector including such detector plates on the other side of the axis. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention a container can be moved, through an opening in the rotor and support structure in synchronization with the rotor, such as, for example, by transporting the container on rails. | 03-10-2011 |

20110032108 | LARGE CURRENT CARRYING CAPACITOR HAVING A THERMAL DISCONNECT WITH A LIGHT INDICATOR - A capacitor providing a thermal alert includes a wound film capacitor for carrying a large current when coupled to an AC generator. The wound film capacitor includes a hollow core extending from one end to another end of the capacitor. Also included are an in-line thermal switch, which is disposed in the hollow core for sensing a predetermined temperature; and a light indicator, which is coupled to the thermal switch. A single housing is integrally formed from an upper cover and a lower cover for housing the capacitor, the thermal switch and the light indicator. The upper cover of the housing is formed from translucent material. The thermal switch is configured to disconnect the wound film capacitor from the AC generator upon reaching the predetermined temperature, and activate the light indicator to emit a light. The upper cover is effective in transmitting the light from inside the housing to outside of the housing. The light indicator includes an incandescent light bulb, a neon bulb, or a light emitting diode (LED). | 02-10-2011 |
20130194712 | MULTIPLE CONCENTRIC WOUND FILM CAPACITORS - Multiple wound film capacitors include a hollow core formed by a first non-conducting tubular section, and a first capacitor winding wrapped around the first non-conducting tubular section. Also included are a second non-conducting tubular section wrapped around the first capacitor winding, and a second capacitor winding wrapped around the second non-conducting tubular section. The multiple wound film capacitors may also include a third non-conducting tubular section wrapped around the second capacitor winding, and a third capacitor winding wrapped around the third non-conducting tubular section. In addition, ends of the first and second non-conducting tubular sections extend beyond ends of the first and second capacitor windings. | 08-01-2013 |

20140247710 | PROACTIVE REDIRECTION OF TRAFFIC DURING LOW VOLTAGE (BROWNOUT) CONDITION AND PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT OF HIGH PRIORITY TRAFFIC - A methodology is described such that when a brownout condition is being experienced by a network node, the network node may autonomously notify the adjacent nodes to reroute the traffic for different classes of service based on programmable low voltage thresholds. The present approach helps lower transit traffic disruption while providing a framework to give preferential treatment to high priority traffic traversing the node. | 09-04-2014 |
