20080264196ADJUSTABLE STEERING ASSEMBLY - A vehicle, such as an all-terrain or utility-terrain vehicle, includes a telescoping, adjustable, steering assembly. The steering assembly includes a steering device that is coupled to the steering assembly, which can be adjusted to increase or decrease the height of the steering device. The steering assembly may include a detent member, a steering post, a yoke, a collar, and a biasing member. The steering post includes axially spaced arcuate grooves where a detent member is seated and held in place with a collar. The collar includes a tapered internal surface for applying lateral pressure to the detent member to lock the yoke in place relative to the steering post. Without the use of tools, the collar may be moved to release the lateral pressure on the detent member, which in turn permits the yoke to be moved relative to the steering post—resulting in adjustment of the steering device.10-30-2008
20120205902SNOWMOBILE CHASSIS WITH TUNNEL - A snowmobile chassis includes dual panels that form a lighter weight and stronger tunnel preferably without the need for structural doublers, plates or other attachable reinforcement devices. The dual panels take the form of inner and outer panels coupled together with selective gaps or spaces located between the panels. The gaps laterally separate the panels and may be continuous and take a variety of shapes as defined by each panel's configuration. The arrangement of the gaps may advantageously define a desired structural load path through the tunnel, increase a section modulus with respect to a centerline of the tunnel, and reduce an overall weight of the tunnel as compared with conventional tunnels that utilize added reinforcement devices.08-16-2012

The cross-member may be configured to transfer lateral loads, bending loads and other types of loads between the idler wheels. The cross-member is arranged between the wheels in such a manner that it is free to rotate with the idler wheels without interference to or from other structure of a skid frame assembly of the snowmobile. In one embodiment, each idler wheel includes a cross-member that extends inward to connect to the other wheel.05-30-2013

20150238364EARRING ATTACHABLE EARPLUG - A hearing protection device is disclosed. The hearing protection device is comprised of an assembly consisting of an earplug attached to a first end of a flexible leash and an earring attachment barrel attached at a second or distal end of the same flexible leash. In use, the attachment barrel may be easily inserted onto a post or hook of any standard earring wherein the earplug may be allowed to dangle from the earring when worn. When the wearer requires sound suppression, he/she simply inserts the earplug into their ear canal without removing the earplug assembly from their earring. The earplug assembly is easily removed from the ear canal by the wearer simply tugging on the flexible leash. The earplug assembly may be removed from the earrings, and may be washed and reused over and over again or used with another pair of earrings.08-27-2015

The base generates first and second air flows through the respective first and second interior passages, and a water reservoir. First and second air passageways convey the first and second air flows to the respective first and second air inlets. As the second air passageway conveys the second air flow over the water in the reservoir, water stored in the reservoir is agitated. An ultraviolet radiation generator irradiates the agitated water for a period of time before water stored in the reservoir is atomized to increase the humidity of the second air flow.09-26-2013

20090299092Carbonylation Process - A process for the carbonylation of an alcohol and/or reactive derivative thereof, in which one or more reaction zone feed streams are fed to a reaction zone in which exothermic carbonylation takes place to produce one or more product streams. Heat from at least a portion of the one or more product streams is fed to a first heat-exchange stream, such as a supply of pressurised steam. The process is characterised by heat from a second heat-exchange stream, having a temperature lower than that of the one or more product streams, being transferred to a reaction zone feed stream, so that the one or more product streams comprise heat originating from the second heat-exchange stream and heat generated by the exothermic carbonylation reaction. Thus, heat originating from the second heat-exchange stream can be transferred to the first heat-exchange stream, resulting in reduced heat loss and greater process efficiency.12-03-2009
