20090125482 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FILTERING RULES FOR MANIPULATING SEARCH RESULTS IN A HIERARCHICAL SEARCH AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM - A method is disclosed for modifying the results of a search performed in a collection of items by a search and navigation system. The method includes receiving a query from a user interface and determining a navigation state, defined by expressions of attribute-value pairs, based on the received query. The user interface accepts both selecting and deselecting of any of the attribute-value pairs in an expression corresponding to a navigation state to obtain an expression corresponding to a different navigation state, and each selection and deselection forms a new query. The method further includes retrieving, from the collection, items associated with the navigation state to form a set of unmodified search results, the set of unmodified search results having an arrangement for presentation to the user. A rule filter that includes a metadata expression is applied to a set of rules, each rule having a trigger, an action, and metadata. The application of the rule filter to the set of rules includes evaluating the metadata expression of the rule filter based on the metadata of each rule and passing rules for which the metadata expression of the rule filter evaluates as logical true. The trigger of each rule passed by the rule filter is evaluated, and the action of each rule for which the trigger of the rule evaluates as logical true is executed to modify the unmodified search results to form modified search results. | 05-14-2009 |
20110099046 | ANALYZING CONSUMER BEHAVIOR USING ELECTRONICALLY-CAPTURED CONSUMER LOCATION DATA - In embodiments, methods and systems for consumer behavior analysis using electronically-captured consumer location data may be provided. The location data may be gathered for one or more consumers. The gathered data may be analyzed to determine behavior patterns or other characteristics of the one or more consumers. Further, inferences or predictions about consumers may be derived based on the characteristics. The inferences and predictions may be the basis of consumer analytics supplied to a business or other entity. | 04-28-2011 |
20110099047 | ELECTRONICALLY CAPTURING CONSUMER LOCATION DATA FOR ANALYZING CONSUMER BEHAVIOR - In embodiments, methods and systems for electronically capturing consumer location data for consumer behavior analysis may be provided. The location data may be gathered for one or more consumers from any suitable source. In some cases, the location data may be gathered using electronic devices associated with consumers, such as mobile phones.
20110099048 | PERFORMING STUDIES OF CONSUMER BEHAVIOR DETERMINED USING ELECTRONICALLY-CAPTURED CONSUMER LOCATION DATA - In embodiments, methods and systems for performing studies of consumer behavior are provided. The consumer behavior may have been determined using electronically-captured consumer location data for multiple consumers. The gathered data may be analyzed to determine behavior patterns or other characteristics of the multiple consumers. Further, inferences or predictions about consumers may be derived based on the characteristics. The inferences and predictions may be the basis of consumer analytics supplied to a business or other entity as results of a study of the consumer behavior. | 04-28-2011 |
20120226522 | PERFORMING STUDIES OF CONSUMER BEHAVIOR DETERMINED USING ELECTRONICALLY-CAPTURED CONSUMER LOCATION DATA - In embodiments, methods and systems for performing studies of consumer behavior are provided. | 09-06-2012 |
20120226523 | PERFORMING STUDIES OF CONSUMER BEHAVIOR DETERMINED USING ELECTRONICALLY-CAPTURED CONSUMER LOCATION DATA - In embodiments, methods and systems for performing studies of consumer behavior are provided. The consumer behavior may have been determined using electronically-captured consumer location data for multiple consumers. The gathered data may be analyzed to determine behavior patterns or other characteristics of the multiple consumers. Further, inferences or predictions about consumers may be derived based on the characteristics. 20120330716 | TRIGGERING COLLECTION OF CONSUMER DATA FROM EXTERNAL DATA SOURCES BASED ON LOCATION DATA - A method and system for gathering data relating to consumer behavior based at least in part on consumer location data. A method and system are provided for gathering data from one or more external data sources that store data relating to a consumer, a business, and/or an environment of consumer-business interactions. The system may request data from external sources based on an analysis of the electronically-derived consumer location data. In addition, location-derived insights can be used to segment and further inform and refine the information gathered from external data sources. | 12-27-2012 |
20120330721 | TRIGGERING COLLECTION OF CONSUMER INPUT BASED ON LOCATION DATA - A method and system for gathering consumer feedback and information based at least in part on location data relating to movement of a consumer. A method and system are provided for gathering opinions and feedback from and having interactions with consumers to collect consumer responses to tasks requested by the system. The system may request that a consumer perform a task based on an analysis of the electronically-derived consumer location data as well as previously captured opinions and feedback. In addition, location-derived insights can be used to segment and further inform and refine the information gathered from consumers. | 12-27-2012 |
20120330722 | ADJUSTING A PROCESS FOR VISIT DETECTION BASED ON LOCATION DATA - A method and system for adjusting a process for identifying settings visited by a consumer based at least in part on electronically-derived consumer location data. A method and system are provided for gathering location data for consumers and identifying points of interest (POIs) visited by the consumers based on the location data. Based on a comparison of settings identified by a process to settings that are identified in data collected from external data sources, the system may determine whether to adjust the visit detection process. The system may adjust the visit detection process by adjusting a way in which settings are defined in a data set, by adding or removing settings from a data set, and/or by changing a manner in which the visit detection process determines whether a location corresponds to a setting in the data set. | 12-27-2012 |
20140095258 | CONSUMER ANALYTICS SYSTEM THAT DETERMINES, OFFERS, AND MONITORS USE OF REWARDS INCENTIVIZING CONSUMERS TO PERFORM TASKS - A method and system are provided for providing incentives and rewards to consumers in return for their sharing of their electronically-derived consumer location data and sharing their opinions and feedback. The system may be programmed to determine parameters of a reward offered to an individual consumer or group of consumers based on or more criteria. In addition, location-derived insights and information reported by the consumers may be used to segment and customize the available incentives and rewards for each consumer. Reward redemption analytics may also be used to evaluate the effectiveness of reward customization. | 04-03-2014 |
