20120017840 | AQUARIUM HAVING IMPROVED FILTRATION SYSTEM WITH NEUTRAL BUOYANCY SUBSTRATE, PUMP AND SEDIMENT REMOVAL SYSTEM - An aquarium which includes a tank having a pump and an under gravel filter disposed in the tank below the pump and a sediment removal system for collecting and removing sediment which passes through the under gravel filter. The under gravel filter includes a hollow bubble dispersing base plate having a perforated top surface and an overlying substrate. An air conduit is provided for introducing air into the pump. The pump is connected to the plate such as to pump water and air into the interior of the plate to thereby cause oxygenated water and bubbles to exit upwardly through the perforated top surface of the plate and into and through the substrate. The pump includes a free floating magnetic impeller. A rotational torque generating unit is provided to rotate the impeller. The rotational torque generating unit includes a magnetic drive disk and a motor for rotating the magnetic drive disk. The pump and rotational torque generating unit are aligned with each other such that a magnetic field is established between the magnetic drive disk and the magnetic impeller, the magnetic field rotating upon rotation of the magnetic drive disk to thereby rotate the impeller. | 01-26-2012 |
20110011349 | AQUARIUM WITH SWEEPER - An aquarium including a tank; a stirrer having one end extending upwardly from within the tan and an opposite end rotatably mounted in a bearing at a bottom of the tank; a substrate in the tank; and a sediment drain hole formed in a sidewall or a bottom of the tank. | 01-20-2011 |
20110011348 | AQUARIUM STRUCTURE - An aquarium which includes a block shaped tank with projecting studs or posts on one face and aligned openings on an opposite face allowing the tanks to be arranged in any desired configuration by interlocking the tanks via the posts of one tank interlocking with the openings of another tank. | 01-20-2011 |
20100193041 | AQUARIUM SIPHON - A siphon for siphoning water from an aquarium into a bucket includes a siphon tube having a first end for insertion into the tank and a second end for insertion into the bucket. A first pair of magnets is provided for releasably attaching the siphon tube to the tank and a second pair of magnets is provided for releasably attaching the siphon tube to the bucket. The siphon further includes a magnetic float valve for closing the second end of the siphon tube when the water in the bucket reaches a predetermined level. | 08-05-2010 |
20100116217 | TEMPERATURE MEASURING, ALGAE CLEANING AND FEEDING SYSTEMS FOR AQUARIUMS - A temperature measuring, algae cleaning and feeding system which includes a thermometer mounted on one side of a first support, At least one first magnet is mounted on an opposite side of the first support. The opposite side of the first support is adapted to engage the outer surface of a first wall of the aquarium. At least one second magnet is mounted on one side of the second support. A scrub pad for removing algae is mounted on the one side of the second support, the opposite side of the second support being adapted to engage the inner surface of the first wall of the aquarium opposite the first support such that the first and second magnetic means attract each other to thereby attach the first and second supports to the first wall of the aquarium. A fish feeding dispenser is mounted on the opposite side of the second support. | 05-13-2010 |
