Combinations of physical characteristics and personality characteristics are also stored on the host computer in the database, as are various business and/or social events. Information is received from the user related to physical and/or personality characteristics of the user, and related to an event the user will be attending. The host computer then determines personal appearance styles that are compatible with the user's physical and/or personality characteristics and the event the user will be attending, and transmits and displays those personal appearance styles to the user.
