20150257972 | APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING EMERGENCY CPR FUNCTIONALITY ON A PATIENT SUPPORT SURFACE - Emergency CPR systems for patient support systems utilizing backup battery power. | 09-17-2015 |
20150245976 | PRESSURE CUFF OR GARMENT - A pressure cuff or garment for prophylactic treatment of deep vein thrombosis includes a series of three chambers arranged in series and coupled fluidically to one another by bleed tubes or chokes. The chambers are otherwise sealed to the environment, save for the first chamber which also provides an inlet/outlet for coupling to a fluid pump. The chambers are also of curved shape so as to overlap one another. The cuff or garment provides more effective pulsating pressure treatment than prior art structures. | 09-03-2015 |
20150231010 | PATIENT REPOSITIONING SYSTEM - A patient repositioning device includes an upper body support and a lower body support which are generally planar and laterally spaced from one another by a spacing element. A handle can rotate in the plane of the supports, enabling a care giver to rotate a patient form a sitting to a lying position and then to roll the patient onto their back. Another embodiment provides a patient cradle for cradling a patient from a reclining to a sitting position and vice versa. | 08-20-2015 |
20150231007 | LOW-AIR-LOSS (LAL) PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUSES AND METHODS - Mattresses and cushions, methods of making mattresses and cushions, and patient supports comprising a mattress and/or a cushion. At least some embodiments of the present mattresses and cushions comprise a body with air-impermeable material having a plurality of openings, and a cover sheet comprising air-permeable and liquid-impermeable material covering at least a portion of the plurality of openings and coupled to the body by a liquid-impermeable welded seam encircling the covered one or more openings. | 08-20-2015 |
20150216751 | PATIENT TRANSPORT DEVICE - A device and method for transporting or repositioning a patient. The device comprises an air mover; a multi-layered body comprising a layer that is permeable to fluids, an layer comprising a spacer material, with which the air mover is in fluid communication, and a layer having a tensile strength sufficient to support the weight of a patient being lifted by the patient transport device. The device further comprises a plurality of coupling members coupled to the multi-layered body. In certain embodiments, the device comprises a further layer comprising a fluid-absorbent material. | 08-06-2015 |
20150216315 | MULTI-LAYERED PATIENT SUPPORT COVER SYSTEM - In various embodiments, a support system includes a cover sheet with a number of layers. In certain embodiments, a top layer and a bottom layer are bonded to a middle spacer layer. | 08-06-2015 |
20150182398 | APPARATUS FOR SELECTIVELY SUPPORTING A BED SECTION - Apparatus for selectively supporting a section ( | 07-02-2015 |
20150135439 | HOSPITAL BED - Patient-support systems and apparatuses for supporting patients, including for example hospital beds. | 05-21-2015 |
20150128346 | HOSPITAL BED SENSOR SYSTEM - A first embodiment provides a manually operable castor assembly for a hospital bed, including a wheel unit fittable to a bed frame and provided with a lock actuator. A sensor unit is provided with a trigger element and a sensor element, the trigger element being located on the manually operable brake actuator and the sensor element being located on the wheel unit. Another embodiment provides a manually operable safety side panel assembly including a hinge assembly coupled to the panel element and attachable to a bed frame, and a sensor unit including a trigger element and a sensor element, the trigger element being located on the manually operable actuator and the sensor element being located on a part of the side panel or hinge assembly. Monitoring apparatus monitors the manually operable bed safety device and including a control unit coupled to the sensor unit and an indicator unit controllable by the control unit and operable to give an indication of the state of the device. | 05-14-2015 |
20140366277 | PRESSURE MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS WITH MOISTURE VAPOR CONTROL - In various embodiments, a support system includes a cover sheet with pressure-sensing mat. | 12-18-2014 |
20130245468 | AUTOMATIC ANKLE BRACHIAL PRESSURE INDEX SYSTEM - An ABPI measurement system includes a cuff for each ankle and a cuff for each arm of a patient. Each cuff has first and second chambers. The four cuffs are applied to each limb (or finger or toe), each chamber is inflated simultaneously to a pressure until a Pneumo Arterial Plethysmography (PAPG) signal related to the arterial flow in the limb is detected at the chambers. The second chambers are then simultaneously inflated until the PAPG signals are extinguished in each limb, the inflation of the second chambers continuing for 10 mmHg to 20 mmHg above the extinguishing pressure. The second chambers are then deflated and the pressure in the second chamber at which the PAPG signal returns in the first chamber is recorded for each limb and this value of the pressure is used to calculate the ABPI. The ABPI is displayed or sent to a remote site. | 09-19-2013 |
20130189920 | System for Support and Thermal Control - In various embodiments, a support surface cooling device configured to reduce the skin temperature of a patient. | 07-25-2013 |
