20100118048 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING NESTED CONTROLS FOR MANIPULATING A DIGITAL IMAGE IN AN IN-BROWSER IMAGE EDITING APPLICATION - A system and method for providing nested controls for manipulating a digital image. A system may typically include a client computer having a web browser application executing thereon and having an in-browser image manipulation application executing within the context of the web browser application. Such an in-browser image manipulation application may be operated by a user to display a digital image to be manipulated. A user may select an editable feature, such as color scheme or brightness, of the digital image. In response to selecting the editable feature, the application may display the control feature adjacent to the digital image such that a user may manipulate the control feature in real-time. In response to manipulating the control feature, changes to the digital image are displayed in real-time. | 05-13-2010 |
20100086234 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRESERVING EDITING HISTORY IN AN IN-BROWSER PHOTO-EDITING APPLICATION - A system and method for preserving and retrieving editing history of a digital image. One method includes identifying a user of an in-browser photo-editing application, retrieving a plurality of digital photographs from a data store, the plurality of digital photographs associated with at least one previous photo-editing session of the identified user, and presenting selectable images of the retrieved digital photographs on a display, each image having an associated editing history. Such a system and method provides several advantages over the prior art. First, as a user may manipulate images over the course of time in various manners with various editing programs, the entire history of such edits may be preserved. Having the editing history known and retrievable allows the user to undo any or all editing manipulations to return to an original digital image as it was originally stored in the system. | 04-08-2010 |
20080285892 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IN-BROWSER PHOTO EDITING - An in-browser photo-editing application method and system. The method may typically include retrieving an image for manipulation along with a set of image manipulation instructions at a client computer and engaging a manipulation to the image from the client computer. Then, the client computer records image manipulation instructions simultaneous to displaying user edits. The set of image manipulation instructions are transmitted to the server when a mirror of the user's manipulated image is desired on the server. The server performs the manipulation instructions on its own copy of the original image to produce the mirror image. Copies of the pre-manipulated and post-manipulated image as well as the manipulation instructions may be stored at several locations including the client computer, the server computer or even a remote storage computer. | 11-20-2008 |
