20150204269 | ENGINE AND PISTON - Any one or more members of an engine, that is, a piston, a cylinder head and a valve, has a wall face disposed face-to-face to a combustion chamber, and the wall face is coated by a heat-insulation coating film. The heat-insulation coating film includes a heat-insulative layer formed on a surface of the wall face, and an inorganic-system coated-film layer formed on a surface of the heat-insulative layer. The heat-insulative layer includes a resin, and first hollow particles buried inside the resin and exhibiting an average particle diameter being smaller than a thickness of the heat-insulative layer. The inorganic-system coated-film layer includes an inorganic compound. | 07-23-2015 |
20130327289 | ENGINE AND PISTON - An engine includes a cylinder block having a bore, a piston fitted into the bore so as to form a combustion chamber and to be able to reciprocate, a cylinder head for closing the combustion chamber and having valve bores communicating with the combustion chamber, and valves for opening and closing the valve bores. A heat insulating coating is applied on a wall face of at least one of the piston, the cylinder head, and the valves and facing the combustion chamber. The heat insulating coating includes resin and a plurality of hollow nanoparticles embedded in the resin, smaller in diameter than a thickness of the heat insulating coating, and smaller than or equal to 500 nanometers in size. | 12-12-2013 |
20120101011 | Sliding Member Coating Composition - There is provided a sliding member coating composition for forming a coating on the surface of a sliding member, which contains a binder resin, abrasion inhibiting members, and a solid lubricant as needed. The shape of the abrasion inhibiting members is a panel shape having an aspect ratio of 5 to 100 expressed by average particle diameter/average particle thickness, and has an average particle diameter of 15.0 μm or smaller and a Moh's hardness of 6 or higher. The content of the solid lubricant can be set to 0 to 15 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the binder resin, and the content of the abrasion inhibiting members to 1 to 100 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the binder resin. The solid lubricant may not be blended. The abrasion inhibiting members are preferably aluminas. According to the sliding member coating composition in the present invention, even when being exposed to severe frictional conditions for a long time, preferable lubricity can be guaranteed. | 04-26-2012 |
