BACKGROUND
[0001] The Bas-Vac came about, simply because I need a vacuum cleaner that does not need to be stored out of sight.
BRIEF SUMMARY
[0002] The Utility patent I am applying for is to protect a new concept and new idea for housing a vacuum cleaner. A housing that is more pleasant and artful, and most importantly a housing that does not require storage for those people who live in small places. The purpose is not just artful, but convenient. There is no storage needed. The Bas-Vac may be left out anywhere, without anyone knowing it is anything other than what it looks like, a great looking basket.
[0003] A vacuum cleaner takes many different forms, yet the concept of cleaning is still basically the same. My design concept is most different, in that, it is in the form of a Basket. The Bas-Vac is also for those who would just like it for it's decor, and or convenience. The Basket that is a Vacuum cleaner. I don't think drawings are essential to this application, though I did put forth drawings in my Provisional Patent Application, so I will include them here.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
[0004] FIG. 1. Is a metal latch in a leaf design--to open the top part of the Bas-Vac
[0005] FIG. 2. Is the opening to place the hose attachment--also covered with metal leaf design
[0006] FIG. 3. Under the top part of the Bas-Vac holds the tools
[0007] FIG. 4. A moveable part to hold the handle in two positions
[0008] FIG. 5. Rough sketching of a basket weave
[0009] FIG. 6. Round metal wheels for easy turning and movement
[0010] Not shown and not needed is the mechanical workings of a vacuum, the retractable cord, along with the bag and or cup for disposing of the dirt. This utility patent is to protect the new concept and idea for which to houses a vacuum cleaner.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0011] It is a basket, which will houses a vacuum cleaner. The Bas-Vac can be made of numerous different materials, such as woven straw with metal woven in for strength, or a resin material for a stronger shell. The top will open for access to the tools and mechanical parts, along with removable dirt container. The top will be locked by a metal latch in a hook shape, along with a leaf design. The opening for the hose attachment will also be covered by a leaf design made of metal. Hopefully the handle will hold two positions allowing the Bas-Vac to be used as a side table of sorts when not being used to vacuum. The wheels will be a round metal and will retract and lock in, when not in use.
