Description:
[0001] This application is a continuation of Provisional Patent filed Mar.
29, 2009, Application No. 61/211,388 and confirmation number 6204.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] This invention relates generally to a seat for a toilet and more particularly designed to allow easier access to the user's underside thereof.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] Existing toilet facilities are generally unsatisfactory in that they do not accommodate easy access for perinea cleaning. In U.S. application Ser. No. 10/735,136, filed Dec. 12, 2003, the inventor hereof discloses an improved toilet seat with a similar provision for perinea cleaning, in that it consists of a portion of each side is hinged to allow it to rotate away, allowing larger opening between the rim of the toilet bowl and the user's underside. U.S. application Ser. No. 407,109, filed Sep. 14, 1989, inventor discloses an improved toilet seat providing clearance for the insertion of user's hand for perinea cleaning, in that it consist being fitted to a conventional toilet, fixed or removable in elevated position to provide lateral openings creating a clearance for the insertion of user's hand to carry out perinea cleaning functions. U.S. application Ser. No. 92,768, filed on Nov. 9, 1979 inventor discloses enlarged front and rear portion opening allowing the insertion of the user's hand for perinea cleaning. However, there remains a need for a means to adapt the standard conventional toilet seat requirements to the requirements provided by the art that this present invention presents. A toilet seat presenting a conventional manner by presenting a pleasing appearance and can be used by user's without the requirements of interchanging or as an additional unit.
[0004] The toilet seat construction has been standardized into specific design in that the waste is deposited into the designed opening, water released from the tank to flush waste down pipe into septic system. Upon which the user will remove any waste which remains in the perinea area by shifting weight to one side, lifting the opposite side from the seat, and reaching, hand to the perineum.
[0005] There are many factors that present many uses that make the wiping process difficult; much of the problem arises from the hand being inserted into small space allowed by the excessive shifting of body from one side to raise the opposite side from seat.
[0006] This invention permits easier access to the user's underside at a comfortable angle in one single unit without interchangeable parts and inexpensive.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] In conformity with the above mentioned need, the present invention includes a toilet seat which differs from conventional seats primarily in that a portion of each side of the seat is concaved to allow for a larger space between the rim of the seat and the thigh and buttocks of the user seated.
[0008] A toilet seat according to present intention selectively permits increased manual access to perinea region of the user seated.
[0009] The toilet seat incorporates substantial concave portions into the surface of the toilet seat, on each arm, at which the concave portion is laterally placed at the thigh and buttocks of the user, creating a space of substantial dimension between the seat, rim and a thigh or buttock of the human.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0010] Further features, embodiments, and the advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description with reference to the drawings, wherein:
[0011] FIGURE 1 is a general perspective view of a toilet seat according to the present invention.
[0012] The embodiment shown in FIGURE 1 includes a toilet seat (1) that incorporates a substantial concave portion (3) into the surface (2) of the toilet seat.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0013] Referring now to the drawings, a toilet seat (1) according to the present invention is shown in a general perspective view in FIGURE 1. At the beginning it should be noted that seat, as shown, having an open front is preferred; however the present invention can also be incorporated into toilet seat with closed front. The connecting of the seat is a standard and the same as existing toilet seats and is not described as part of the invention.
[0014] The seat (1) is position to a toilet bowl, the seat (1) may provide contours that generally slope toward the interior.
[0015] The seat (1) is preferably molded from plastic to withstand weight and has a thickness to create elevation for the purpose of the present invention, to provide a toilet teat which access to user's underside is improved. The seat (1) is also preferably oversized by several inches, width and length to accommodate the concave portions (3) incorporated into the surface (2) of the toilet seat.
