(a) TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to a lash brush with adjustable bristle arrangement, which comprises a bristle bar assembly composed of an inner bar and an outer tube fit to each other, wherein the inner bar is inserted into and fixed to an inner recessed bottom of a cap by a rim member and is externally fit over and encompassed by the outer tube in such a way that a front end of a bristle sleeve that functions for brushing and making up lashes is coupled to the outer tube and the inner bar is directly inserted into and reaching an inner end of the bristle sleeve for fixing thereto so that the two ends of the bristle sleeve are respectively fixed to the inner bar and outer tube, whereby in use, through withdrawing and rotating the cap, the inner bar simultaneously rotates the end of the bristle sleeve, causing twisting of a bristle tip surface formed by tips of bristles arranged on the sleeve and thus realizing adjustment of the arrangement of the bristles, which may effectively provide a practical efficacy of more densely re-arranging the bristle tip surface, so that the effectiveness and efficiency of make-up operation can be enhanced in coating lash make-up liquid to the brush and performing brushing operation.
(b) DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
A conventional lash brush is structured as shown in FIG. 7 that shows a complete set of lash brush, wherein a cap 31 for covering purpose is provided also for hand gripping in doing lash make-up. In an intermediate section, a brush bar 32 extends outward and has an end that has a suitable length on which bristles are arranged to form a curved surface 33 of outer contour of tips of the bristles. These together form a lash brush structure. A lash make-up liquid container 34 has a closable opening in which a plug having liquid scraping tabs is mounted. The lash brush is directly inserted into the lash make-up liquid container 34 to have the bristle tip surface 33 and the brush bar 32 simultaneously dipped into the make-up liquid contained in the container and this forms a complete lash brush container structure. To carry out make-up, after the bristle tip surface 33 is coated with the lash make-up liquid in the container, the brush bar 32 is withdrawn in such a way to allow excessive make-up liquid to be scraped off, and then the bristle tip surface 33 is positioned in alignment with eye lashes to apply a proper amount of the make-up liquid to the lashes. In the operation, the lash make-up liquid is applied to the lashes several times in an up-and-down manner. Since the bristles constituting the bristle tip surface 33 are arranged in a fixed manner, to meet the needs for making up the lashes in a curled manner, the bristle tip surface 33 must be rotated and changed properly in order to obtain the result of uniform application of the make-up liquid. This relies upon experienced skills and takes a lot of time. Particularly, the brush tip surface 33 must be hand held to carry out both application and rotation at the same time. When the make-up liquid is not uniformly coated on the bristles, a non-experienced operator or user cannot do the make-up in a uniform manner. This is particularly true for making up curled lashes. This makes great trouble and inconvenience to the general users. Thus, if the arrangement of the bristle tip surface of the currently available lash brush can be modified according to the practical needs for make-up operations to make it an arrangement that allows for being more densely attached with a make-up liquid, then the use for make-up operation of the lash brush can be more easily operated. In this respect, the existing lash brush must be further improved.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The following descriptions are exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
The present invention provides a lash brush with an adjustable bristle arrangement. As shown in FIGS. 1-6, the lash brush according to the present invention comprises a twisting structure for bristles that are arranged to have tips thereof forming an outer contour that defines bristle tip surface. The lash brush comprises an end cap 10 for hand holding to carry out make-up operations. The cap, which is a hollow member, receives and retains therein an inner bar 11 that has an expanded cylindrical plug end fit into the cap to allow the bar to extend out of the cap. A bottom of the plug is set nearly on an inner bottom surface of the cap. The cylindrical plug has an outer circumference forming a roughened surface to securely couple to the cap. The cap, which has an inside surface to which the cylindrical plug is fit, forms opposite positioning bosses 12 on the inside surface thereof at a location close to an open end of the cap. A rim member 13 is fit into the open end of the cap to seat against the expanded cylindrical bottom of the inner bar 11 and thus provides assistance to position the inner bar 11 inside the cap in such a way to allow an elongate bar body of the inner bar to extend beyond an outer circumference of the cap by a desired length. An outer tube 14 is inserted into the rim member 14 in such a way to encompass an outer circumference of the inner bar 11 with a lower end of the outer tube 14 seating against an inner recess of the rim member 13 to provide assistance to position the rim member 13. The rim member 13 has a circumferential surface in which rail-like circumferential guide slots 15 for purposes of positioning and guiding of sliding motion are defined and the circumferential guide slots are of a predetermined length, such as a length that allows for a rotation within 150 degrees, for rotation and guiding of the cap 10. Each of the slots is provided, in a side wall thereof, with a plurality of raised and recessed arc surfaces that are formed in an equally spaced manner and a retention notch 16. To use, a user holds the outer circumference of the cap 10 with one hand and holds an exposed circumferential portion of the rim member 13 with another hand and then withdraw the cap backward and rotate the cap by a desired angle, which is preferably between 0-150 degrees, depending upon the length determined by the circumferential guide slots 15 of the rim member 13. A free end of the outer tube 14 is fit and coupled to an insertion end of a bristle sleeve 17, and the inner bar 11 has a distal end that is inserted into the bristle sleeve 17 to reach an inner end of the bristle sleeve and fixed to the inner end of the bristle sleeve. Through inter-engagement between the cap 10 and a container 20 that is filled with a lash make-up liquid, the lash brush so assembled is inserted through a hollow inner plug 21 that is provided with liquid scraping tab and is mounted inside the container opening to allow the lash brush and the bristle sleeve 17 mounted to a tip thereof to penetrate into and dip in the make-up liquid contained in the container, whereby the outer tube 14 and the bristle tip surface of the bristles carried on the bristle sleeve 17 can be simultaneously coated with the make-up liquid and thus, when the cap 10 is rotated to release from the container, make-up operation for lashes can be carried out immediately.
In the improved design of the lash brush according to the present invention, a major feature is the arrangement of lash brush bristle can be adjusted in performing make-up operations of the eye lashes according to the needs of the lash make-up in order to satisfy the need for attaching the make-up liquid to the bristles and to make uniform application of the liquid to the eye lashes, whereby through proper adjustment of the distribution of bristles that form the bristle tip surface, the density and arrangement of bristles can be changed. In attempting to perform make-up, a user simply holds the cap 10 and partly separates the cap from the rim member 13, whereby the positioning bosses 12 that are formed on the inside surface of the cap 10 are caused to disengage from the retention notches 16 and are thus allowed to rotate, namely circumferentially moved along the circumferential guide slots 15 defined in the circumferential wall of the rim member 13. Through the engagement with the raised and recessed arc surfaces and the retention notches 16, when the cap is withdrawn and rotated, the inner bar 11 is caused to rotate to simultaneously rotate the bristle sleeve 17 coupled to the end thereof. Due to the insertion end of the bristle sleeve being fixed to the outer tube 14, when the bristle sleeve is rotated with the inner bar 11, the bristle sleeve 17 is twisted and the bristles set on the circumferential surface of the bristle sleeve 17 will be twisted and the arrangement thereof be adjusted, whereby in performing lash make-up operation, the arrangement of the bristles shows a denser distribution due to the twisted arrangement thereof, which facilitates attaching of the make-up liquid to the bristles and the performance of lash make-up during the make-up operation. Through control by rotation of the cap 10, the inner bar 11 can be rotated by different angle within the guide slots 15, which leads to different re-arrangements of the bristles to allow the bristle tip surface to be changed for use in different applications of special curling and uniform application of make-up liquid to the eye lashes, whereby the lash brush is made more suitable for the need of uniform make-up operation. In respect of bristle arrangement of an eye lash brush, the present invention provides improved performance over the commercial products of the same functions.
The present invention provides a lash brush that has a bristle arrangement that can be adjusted by setting different rotation angle, wherein a bristle carrying bar is constructed as a rotatable combination of an inner bar and an outer tube, whereby the inner bar 11 is rotatable in unison with the cap 10 to simultaneously rotate a distal tip end of the bristle sleeve 17 attached to the inner bar 11 and due to an end of the bristle sleeve 17 being coupled to the outer tube 14, the rotation of the distal tip end of the bristle sleeve by the inner bar 11 makes the bristle tip surface of the bristles twisted, which causes simultaneous twisting of the bristles to realize adjustment of the arrangement of the bristles. In use, according the needs of practical applications of lash make-up, due to guidance provided by the circumferential guide slots 15 formed in the circumferential wall of the rim member 13 and assisted by the retention provided by the raised and recessed arc surfaces and the retention notches 16, the lash brush can be selectively rotated and re-positioned for different applications of lash make-up. After the use, the brush is re-inserted into the container 20, the cap is depressed and rotated reversely, the cap is returned to the original non-twisted position, which ensures the bristle tip surface will return to the original non-twisted position and the bristles resume a non-twisted distribution, which can be for example lined up in straight lines. Securely locking the cap and maintaining the flexibility of rotating the bristles can be ensured in this way. The whole structure of adjusting bristles is simple and a practical function of easy positioning is also offered. Without any special operation skill, the bristles can be easily adjusted and changed to meet the needs of various application of lash make-up. This is not only good for facilitating adjustment and change in performing lash make-up, but also effective in uniform application of the make-up liquid attached to the bristles, especially for curling make-up of eye lashes. The make-up liquid attached to the bristles can be conducted to differently twisted tips of the bristles to continuous application so as to ensure uniform make-up. Quality of lash make-up can thus be enhanced and the lash brush is made more suitable to the convenient use for make-up operation of lashes.
To summarize, the present invention provides a lash brush with adjustable bristle arrangement, which comprises a bristle sleeve having a bristle tip surface that, through a structure of rotatable combination of an inner bar and an outer tube, has an end coupled to the inner bar and an opposite end coupled to the outer tube, whereby through the rotatabilty of an end cap guided by a rim member set inside the end cap, the arrangement of the bristles of the bristle tip surface is adjusted. This provides easy adjustment operation in performing make-up operation and also provides a practical efficacy in lash make-up. In view of the structure and the simplification of lash make-up, the present invention is a novel design of lash brush.
While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
